A one-off loan deal to provide some depth while we sort out a long term fix wouldn't run afoul of that I wouldn't think.

Would we really spend a year bedding him in and developing him without a option to buy. If he turned out to be a good addition we would want him to stay. But with Mendes involved I just can't see it.
