Sorry mate but that’s bollocks, even when the six second rule came in years ago it never worked and hasn’t been properly implemented.
Don’t go down that road, the time wasting probably accounted for about two minutes tops and we’d do the same if we had to.

I agree that it has never been used - but if it is in the rules it should be. If the ref books Foster early on , he has to stop doing it and it would stamp it out of the game. You could see our players getting riled up and frustrated about it all game.

But I am not saying that is why we lost - we lost because we were absolute garbage, it just pisses me off that I invest a lot of time and money to watch a football game.

Having just watched MOTD I think it most highlighted that we just need a whole new back line with Toby, Jan & Danny looking well off the pace and Aurier just a car crash waiting to happen.

How much worse would a back line of Sess/Vertonghen, Tanganga, Sanchez & Foyth really be compared to what’s going on now? Get either Sissoko or Dier to sit centrally in the DM slot.

I know Dele took some heat yesterday but he looked to me from the highlights like he cares with runs he made and might be starting to get his form back.
When one player looks off the pace or clueless then you can blame the player in question, but when it's an entire bloody back line it's time to blame the guy coaching and picking them!

We drew, not that it's much time shout about, but we didn't lose.

Dele looked better yesterday. Looking for work and his little tricks were sometimes coming off too. Pleasing to see in an otherwise dreary performance
Needs to be playing as a 10 - I don't often do the old trite 'my dad said to me ... ' stuff, but none the less he mentioned to me that he reminds him a little bit of Martin Peters ... Not sure if this will make sense to those who either saw him play or such, either way, thought he did look better yesterday. Then again, is it the best of a bad bunch syndrome? Either way, he looked like he left it all out there yesterday which is more than some have managed recently.

That performance by sissoko yesterday was terrible. A headless chicken always out of position. We had a one man midfield because of him. How winks was subbed off and not him was bizarre.
We don't know what was being asked of him, so it's harsh to judge based on where you think he should have been.

Yes, minds me of when AVB had Fazio and Dawson playing a high line, and they didn't have the pace for it. Nothing necessarily wrong with the players, it's just a case of using spoons as forks.

I disagree, I think most of these players have plenty more to give, either to us or someone else, and his inability to coach them to even a Carling Cup win j his 6 years is pretty shocking.

You may point to CL qualification as his great success, but realistically we were up there prior to his arrival, and since his arrival we have seen huge declines from Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea on and off, so to achieve that he really only needed to keep us around the same standard as we had been under Redknapp/AVB.
I don't know what games your seeing if you believe now that Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose Wanyama Eriksen Aurier possible Lloris Dier are going to move this club forward. it'll be hard not to agree Pochettinho has by and large improved players during his tenure. I get Poch is under extreme pressure from supporters media haters etc during this period of poor results going back last season and a CL defeat. In 5 years its the first most challenging period he would have dealt with. I personally would like to see how he'll perform with at least a couple transfer windows however which way Pochettinho ends up the club has to invest in better players now this is so evident.

100% regarding Dele. Was in North lower and watched Dele quite a bit off the ball in the 1st half and he was really trying to make those runs. Think a purple patch is around the corner for him, just need people who can find him, which is the problem.
I think he’s just stopped doing what he’s told, and started playing his natural game.

how many freekicks should we have had in their penalty area for Foster holding onto the ball for more than 6 seconds? I noticed every time he had the ball their players were talking to the ref to distract him from timing how long he held it. Referees don't seem interested in stamping out this type of cheating!
If I recall correctly, when Spurs played West Bromwich Albion at Wembley in our first season there while our stadium was being rebuilt, Ben Foster in goal for Albion was eventually booked by the referee for persistent time-wasting. They had grabbed a surprise opening goal in the first three or so minutes (scorer Rondon?) and then did all they could to hang on to that lead until Kane equalised. Referees can and do give yellow cards for the likes of time-wasting.

And he needs a run of games but I bet he’s taken out again midweek

Ben Foster has timewasted in every game we've played against him. Massive wanker.

Not sure what to make of anything anymore.

How Rose continues to be picked I don't know. Rose should be nowhere near this team, his legs and head are gone. Davies is better, but Poch keeps picking Rose, why?

Toby and Jan were both woeful and yet he hooked Sanchez at half time? Two players who have put in repeatedly poor performances and as things stand, won't be here next season.

Lucas cannot play against teams that sit deep. He was a waste of a player first half.

Unsure why there was so much stick for Dele today, sure things weren't always coming off, but he was always the one who was going to make something happen.

Completely at a loss. Can't work out what Poch is trying to do, and why players are playing so poorly.
Perhaps Rose was selected on Saturday because he will not be used this Tuesday and someone else will play instead. His replacement might then also play against Liverpool at the weekend, or he may not and so Rose would return to the line-up a week after the match against Watford. Which of us knows? It's guesswork on our part, but it will be part of the planning schedule of those selecting our teams.

Interestingly, Watford was the club Danny Rose had talks with about a transfer in the summer transfer window. Either he turned them down, or they weren't that interested in him.

True. I can’t imagine Poch wanted a one man midfield though. Although who knows!

It'd probably be that BS where the holding midfielder stays, Sissoko stealthily pushes up (thus sneaky diamond), then the WBs slot in and turn into rooks, the wide forwards turn upside down and covert to queens, meaningly the can side across the whole pitch in a single move.

Why Son didn't start is a mystery as he's often likely to score or create a goal

It isn't a mystery. It was about his very late arrival back from a North Korea v South Korea game, a tough game it was claimed, and his squad's need to return via China.
