I don't watch MOTD or the studio analysis after our games. Did any of the pundits have anything to say about the decision?

I can't believe there's an ex player out there who saw anything other than Kane being dead level with the defender?
I think both Hoddle and Rio Ferdinand in the BT studio said it was level and the advantage should’ve gone to Kane.

All 3 on MotD said it was a ridiculous decision.

Shearer said if he was Kane he'd ask to leave. I guess he asked to leave Newcastle every year then. Prick.

Really not happy with today’s decision against Kane. Not one replay proves to me he’s offside. What happened to the bollocks about touching lines not being off?

the forster one is worse its a clear error that Anthony Taylor thinks Doherty has fouled forster why can var tell him to re look at it!

Joke. If Doherty one is given , they aren't changing it. The Kane one is on and as soon as it was disallowed their fans and players got a second wind.

What's the rule now? You could argue Kanes sleeve/armpit is offside but is that still the rule?

I have a feeling the guy in VAR room forgotten the new rule and applied the old one. Refs are seldom overturning VAR decisions so that's given as off.

Someone has got a serious explanation to do.

You can score with the outside of your shoulder and that's the body part that has Kane offside. Except the freeze frame is done a frame too late and Kane looks level and would definitely have been onside a frame earlier.

The lines aren't even level.

Look at the way the pitch is mown, Kane is onside by a half a foot.

VAR has drawn a line where it's thicker at Kane's position and thinner at the defender's position. The defender's foot even creeps into the red line. He's drawn Kane's line at his upper arm, and the defender's line at his ankle. The utter wanker.

The worst VAR decision I've ever seen. And it's supposed to be a clear and obvious decision for VAR to get involved.

Livid. Incompetent or corrupt. We've been cheated.

The officials are just, frankly, awful. They don't use the technology correctly. They don't apply the laws correctly.

They were allowing these goals earlier in the season, now they're disallowing them again.

Im confident we'd have ended up scoring another 2 or 3 today if that had been correctly given. Saints instead got a second wind.

Swings and roundabouts but the game hinged on that and the Doc decision. Forster should count himself lucky he doesn't have an O.G to his name
