Finally! I’ve been waiting for this since 2019!

Curious to see how Sess cope with playing LB as I have only seen him play LW

French duo in the middle. I think that couldbe a good thing and Eriksen back in the team

No Foyth and Dier

Back 4?

I think defensively Toby and Jan as a centre back pairing is our most solid option

With no Foyth today, the responsibilty of game altering dumbfuckery falling solely on the shoulders of Aurier.
both to slow they were awefull down at brighton

There is a whiff of Mourinho figuring "well, none of my defensive players appear to be able to defend, so I may as well play two attacking fullbacks and try to outscore the opposition". Tactically speaking, a shrug. Mourinho gives good shrugs.

If Sissoko can't stay central, i.e., if he has to drift out to help Sessegnon and Aurier all the time, there's going to be a boulevard for Ward-Prowse to pass through and Redmond and Ings to attack through.

Guess we'll just have to outscore them... there's a wealth of attacking intelligence out there to do that: Ndombele, Sessegnon, Aurier (who has been racking up goals and assists at the same time as everyone has been moaning about his defending), Eriksen, Dele, Lucas and Kane should scare the shit out of any defence.

Add in Ndombele and Sissoko running straight at the opposition, as they are prone to do, and it may be a pretty crazy game.

To all those speculating: Eriksen is playing because we have had 4 matches in quick succession and Mourinho is rotating his midfield.

He's also played well the last two times he's appeared.

He hasn't exactly put in some great performances for us over the last twelve months though has he, he's been playing like he can't be arsed and shows he doesn't wanna be here.

Would much prefer he wasn't in the starting lineup unless he actually decides to start playing to the level we all know he can.

Which he has in the last couple of matches.
