He hasn't exactly put in some great performances for us over the last twelve months though has he, he's been playing like he can't be arsed and shows he doesn't wanna be here.

Would much prefer he wasn't in the starting lineup unless he actually decides to start playing to the level we all know he can.

Eriksen's application and attitude are much more important than his contract situation. His head was in the clouds at the start of the season and as such he should have been no where near our starting eleven. However he has looked much more like his old self recently, and that free kick was years over due, so I am quite happy for him to start today.

I initially felt the same but given we're in a real fight for top 4 we need points where we can get them and Eriksen, on current form, offers something none of our players can reproduce (Lo Celso included). Some of his passes in the last couple of games have added an entire other dimension to our play so I really don't blame Jose for bringing him given how desperately we need to pick up points.

Also, it's not as if Eriksen has started too many games under Jose so it's not like we've been building the team around him or anything.

Jose has managed him well to get a performance of some sort on the pitch so I dont mind.
Not something Poch was able to do hence shitty performance before.
