The beauty about having a front 3 like this is you only need one to be on it to win you the game ! If two are on it you’ll be firing and if all 3 are your going to destroy whoever that is against ! Roll on city

Certainly not firing on all cylinders yesterday. Bale is clearly getting back to full fitness but needs more games. Son was indifferent in his play wIth his passing poor at times. Kane was Kane. Gave it his all and scored a fine goal from a wonderful cross from Doherty.

Or maybe we should lay off him a bit as he's currently the joint top scorer of the league and averaging a goal per game. Pretty much no-one can keep up that level of performance week after week and he was inevitably going to have a drop in form sooner or later, especially given the amount of travelling he's done and the frequency of the matches.

Let's take a step back before we start moaning about one of our best players after a couple of wobbly performances following about 5 excellent ones. Sure, he wasn't good today but "no excuses"?

Christ...

Saying no excuses is hardly laying into him. Its just calling it as it is, as he played bad in one game. At the same time highlighting the imbalance as some players are torn a new one every time they don't play well.

Sons been unbelievable this season. We have one of the best partnerships in premier League football and they're both in the form of their lives. Hes obviously not going to maintain that level continuosly, but it still doesn't make up for the fact he had a real off day yesterday. But we move on. Hopefully the rest will do the squad good as we've played a lot of games recently.

We have to be patient with Bale. He’s getting there

I agree with this but I don't know how long we can carry him. His threat is minimal atm, and it nullifies our right flank a wee bit having him there. Imo he's our worst option in that position at the present time.

I agree ! He rarely lost the ball which Lucas does on the regular and at times showed good ink up with Kane just need to get him fully fit and that front 3 with gio and ndombele behind will be lethal

I totally disagree. It's easy not to lose the ball when you're not heavily involved, or progressive with your passing, which Bale isn't at the present moment. Lucas offer a threat which free's up space for others, Bale does not.

I'm hopeful Bale will become good, but I think he should play exclusively in the cups, or as a sub until it clicks.

Bale needs to play to get both match fit and to get his touch working 100%. He won’t get that sitting on the bench or only playing Cup games.

As we all can see, Bale has lost some of his pace and needs to get fit and mobile. We are not going to see the raw pace he once had.

Hes playing on experience rather than being 100% fit, when Bale starts, we are little compromised as a team. The experience is welcomed as we seem to be a team looking naive as always and need some experience input to influence. Jose is doing his best and yesterday for me was a good all around mature performance. We need to lose wanting the ref to bail us out when other teams are physical.

He had both ankles on ice after coming off. That cant be a good sign about his overall body's fitness. Plus if he is having that kind of treatment after playing 70 odd minutes for us I cant see how we can let him go off on international duty.

Interestingly, Son Kane and Bale all got an assist and won during respective national duties.

This has been a massive dissapointment. Bale is not the player he was a couple of years ago and might actually be a negative to our team. I'm sure he's not a player mourinho actually wants.

This has been a massive overreaction (4 weeks after he made his first minutes).

He's been here five minutes. Give him a chance to get going.

Exactly, where was the love heart after the winner against Brighton. He's just not the same.

There's improvement needed for sure, but some of his passes & the header were quality. Personally I wouldn't judge him until Feb/March next year.

Bale:

His introduction to the PL team has come at a time when we decided to grind out wins.

If we were still sticking 5, 6 and 7 past teams he would be more productive.

Don't blame him, blame West Ham
