It just goes to show what a genius signing woodgate was imo.
Best signing since berba (though bale comes close).
With him in the side my optimism for the rest of the season has doubled.

Ok - Question. If it is a problem that means Ledley can only play 1 in 2 or 1 in 3 games as from next season are we better off with him playing in those games or better claiming insurance, and playing a settled pair of CB's Woody and another?

It's a tricky one as King is immense for us but centre backs need to learn to work in a regualr pairing.

What exactly is he problem with his knee??

A shitload of players with totally crashed knees has got it fixed by the knee-wizard Richard Steadman in Colorado USA.

Rumour has it that it;s a degenerative cartillege problem. With Steadman, most have had ligament damage, which can be healed to be stronger than before, but it takes a while. Degenerative cartillege cannot be healed, it can be 'eased' and minimised, but once it's gone, that's it.

We can set fire to him and claim it was gypos. Then clean up on the insurance.

It doesn't?

During a long period many of our players never got the rehab they needed to get back their best.

That shouldn't be so hard to understand.
See, Michey, you speak like you work at the club, with some insider view on things no-one else does.

So are you trying to blame our player physiotherapy on Martin J too? Maybe stop and think for a mo, now wind your neck back in and rephrase if you like, but from the quote i included you apparently blame Martin for our injury problems as well - is that the case or when you said "Management" did you mean the Physios, coaches and everyone else back stage?

Mind if i ask who the others are that you referred to? Teemu i guess could be one - Bale? BAE? What treatment did they not get that they should've then?

Please, if you have a unique and un-questionable view as to the goings on at the Lane for the last year then impart, i'm genuinely interested. Equally, if you are a pro-sports physio and could see that the wrong treatment was being administered, fill us in, otherwise give it a rest making sweeping statements that you are very unlikely to know anymore about than any of us

Same as Terry Funk suffered but, not only did he acquire his wrestling for more than 2/3 of his life, he continues to wrestle but under a cocktail of painkillers and anti-inflammatory pills - i guess that's not an option in Football

Would be awesome if it was though

Are you completly thick?

I mentioned two players, Anderton and Iversen and you start refering to Jol and Tainio. What on earth is wrong with you??

My point was that it would have been very good if we had been as professional back then as we are now.....and have been for like three-four years.

Even a real slow person would be able to recognize that some of our players were being rushed back and never completely healed before their comebacks back in the nineties. Why would you be ignorant about that?

King's career is fucked. he cant even play more than three games, and no chance of playing full 90 minutes in all these games.
We need and we wil get a new CB this summer. Ledders has served us well!!

Hmm, i can see i'm dealing with a mastermind here, i'll have to watch my step...

I mentioned two players, Anderton and Iversen and you start refering to Jol and Tainio. What on earth is wrong with you??

Well, at least i know he's not a doctor - his diagnosis skills are woeful! I mentioned Jol and Tainio because of this:

someone you know said:
To bad that we didn't have brains in our managemanet before. That would have saved players as Anderton, Iversen etc

Where you clearly state that you hold the belief that our former manager (or managemanet) was to blame for the well being of our injured players - i simply asked if it was his fault that our players remained injured for long, using Teemu as an example of a play injured during Martin tenure as boss.

My point was that it would have been very good if we had been as professional back then as we are now.....and have been for like three-four years.

AAaah, so hang on now, i might get confused - you are blaming the current state of Ledley King on the way the club was run back before Martin or even Fruitini had the reigns? Well, to be honest with you fella, i'm 31 and can't recall the circumstances that our players were injured under, the treatment they received or the circumstances under which they returned, so maybe i'll just have to bow to your superior knowledge and photographic memory :|

Even a real slow person would be able to recognize that some of our players were being rushed back and never completely healed before their comebacks back in the nineties. Why would you be ignorant about that?

Who? I figure, the way you're talking, that you are older than my 31 years as, if you are indeed referring to the 90's then i was between the ages of 13 and 23 and spent a lot of that time having a life.

If you are going back almost ten years then you go for it, i'll step out of this pointless conversation and you can go on about how it would all be so different now if we'd seen it coming ten years ago (Mavis, you failed, you're fired!) and how if my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle - why you are dragging the way our injured players were treated ten years ago into this thread i have no idea, but you obviously wanted to make a point, so go for it: I'm interested to hear what it was now.

Do me a favour though, as i'm

completly thick
and as i can't answer the frankly rather caring question

What on earth is wrong with you??
maybe you should go slowly.

Hey, heres another idea how about you stop insulting people like some ten year old chucklehead and just discuss the topic?

Even when proved wrong you continue to go on......

I can't recall have blamed anyone for the current state of King, can you? I simply gave cred to Ramos for not playing him to frequently. Anything wrong with that?

About insulting.........one have to ask when people just don't get it even when it's spelled out for you. It's also kinda pathetic pointing out insults when giving them yourself time after time.
So what if i'm 6 years older than you and remember our team before you did........does that make you feel that you have less knowledge? Oh, sorry i forgot your wonderful time between 13-23 when you "had a life". Having a life doesn't have to mean that you're not picking up stuff or paying attention to things that happens around you.....I know since i still have a life.

Please don't use your precious time to make this post into 500 segments where you can point out things thet you clearly don't get anyway.

Is woodgate eligible for the final or has he played in the CCup for Boro this season?

It is bad that I am now starting to believe the rumours about Ledley. I try to remain positive, but I don't seem to remember a player suffering a knee injury and upon return be nursed back to health in such a slow manner.

I don't know what to believe - Ledley and the club have denied it, but the issue remains that he cannot string games together, let alone 90 minutes. I sincerely hope he does come back, I just guess I have been worn down by all the cynics

If the cartilage in his knee is really that bad, it's something he has to have for the rest of his life, not just the next few of his football life. I love the fact he is being looked after, seemingly well, by Ramos. The dream is that he will be able to play more than once every couple of weeks, but if not, try and bring in someone similar to Woodgate so that we have two CB's that can play on a regular basis. A King on the bench? Greatest defensive sub ever?!
