I never thought I would say this but Harry Redknapp would get a lot more out of this squad than Jose will. The players look demotivated and are clearly not enjoying playing in a turgid system. Harry would get the right mix of players and let them do what they are good at and enjoy. We'd still fall short at 4th/5th, but it would be more entertaining and we'd play great football.

To be fair i expected them as a unit to be better tonight. Sanchez, Dier, Toby and Jan are not good enough and haven't been for about 18 months. People on these boards love Lamela because he runs around alot but really in is Spurs career he has done feck all.

We know Dele , Lucas, Aurier and Davies are not good enough on a consistent basis to move us forward. Yes they have their moments but are nothing more then squad players. The fact three of them seem to play every week shows how poor we really are.

Jose is deluded if he thinks we only need a couple of changes.

Yeah it seemed like Dier and Sanchez had turned a corner in the last two games but tonight it was a comedy of errors. The entire back 4 just god awful.

Who have about 14 first team players to work with at the moment. Just shows you the depth and quality of our great side

Before today I would have been in complete disagreement, but I can see the argument now - in theory anyway.

Gives us a chance to gut the squad and emphasise quality over quantity. Sell 7 or 8 and buy 3 or 4 quality players with the cash.

I'd be listening to any interesting offers for about 10-12 of our players and i'd include Dele on that list now.

Another benefit of no Europa is that the stadium will have more available dates for concerts and NFL. That should help us recoup some of the money that we would lose from having no CL participation.
