I was worried about Chelsea signing Ziyech and Werner then I thought about it, their front 3 would be Pulisic - Werner - Ziyech.

Then I compared it to our front 3 of Son - Kane - Bergwijn and realised we have the stronger front 3 and was just getting nervous about the fact they were making signings but we don’t need to make signings like those with the front 3 we already have.

Good point. However, I'm scared about our depth.

How often are those 3 fit and play together? We need some reinforcements.

The thing about Wolves that is so beautiful, is the BALANCE of the team. You don't need huge money signings constantly and star players in every position. They have the right players in the right positions, super solid, nice technical balance and pace. Plus they don't have a free give away in their team like we do with Dele. I guarantee they wouldn't be doing as well with him in their team.

If we don't sign a DM this window we are the thickest team. Our CM is so unbalanced, our full backs are mid table level and we have no back up striker.

I haven't written Jose off yet, but I can't help but think we'd have had a lot more fun this season if we'd replaced Poch with Nuno instead.

I think we are one striker away from having depth and superior depth than that of Chelsea.

Son - Moura
Kane - New striker
Bergwijn - Lamela

Plus Dele, the key thing for me with our squad is this, if we get the correct reinforcements then a lot of our current players will significantly improve through virtue of not being run into the ground.

However I do think in the back half of the pitch we need to make improvements. Namely fullback and DM.

I don't understand why, there's nothing spectacular about his Wolves team, just incredibly balanced, his teams don't press high up the pitch but however are extremely difficult to break down and like to play on the counter, remind you of someone? ;)

Plus they have one of the most unique players to watch in the whole league in Traore, guy is worth the entrance fee on his own.

I just had a look at his first season and his wolves team hit the ground running straight away. I’ve no idea what the performances were like but they won a lot of games straight off the bat. I didn’t realise that. They also had a massive turnover of players when he joined with quite a few brought in on loan and then bought once they were in the PL. In fact, looking at the loans they’ve made they played that market amazingly well.

That tells me he is a really good manager. Can organise a team and get his ideas across quickly. Which is obviously half the battle.

Well a lot of it is down to the agent of those players who I believe has some sort of relationship with the wolves ownership, I think it's Jorge Mendes and if you look at the players they signed he is their agent.

That's an absolutely outstanding record for a team that started their season late July in the early stages of Europa league whilst working with a relatively small squad.

Wolves can also win the Europa, by the way.
So can Man Utd.

I'd take Moutinho off them first, even at his age. What a loss that was, when we weren't able to sign this guy. He would have been our new Modric for years.

Manchester United are actually the favourites to win the Europa League.

Wolves are 2nd.

I wouldn't be too gutted if we had to do one season in the Europa, to be honest, because I think we could win it. No way Jose would take the "stick the kids out" approach as we did ten years ago.

I enjoy getting to see the other players in the squad also, we've got a good enough squad now that the 2nd string could do the groups and early knockouts with ease.

If we could win early knock out rounds with ease how come we keep getting knocked out early on when playing in the competition in years gone past and when we did play in it our record is abysmal in reality .
The statement that " the 2nd string could do the groups and early knockouts with ease " is arrogant in the extreme and an attitude like that is probably the reason we have been crap in this competition in the past the one thing I am sure of is if we are to qualify for the europa then Jose will take the competition with respect and serious and put his best available side out in every phase .

Only if we bought a competent back up striker though. Without one we would struggle to beat teams.

Europa could be a good platform for players like Sessegnon and Skipp to express themselves. Obviously I want UCL but I wouldn't be too gutted with Europa as long as we end this season strong.

We don't really have enough young players for it to be a good opportunity though, Tanganga the only other

You said you think we would be lucky to have one player - GLS - who would start for Chelsea, didn't you? (Or was that the other poster - apologies I don't remember exactly who said it).

In any case, no it doesn't mean everything of course. But given we played West Ham a week apart, I would say it decently indicates current form. I definitely think our defense is superior to Chelsea's though (and in fact the stats this season even support that). Had our defense played that badly against West Ham we'd have people lining up guillotines.

I'm looking forward to your next comment????

Yeah our defense is fucking shit too, you're right. I didn't expect them to be this bad.
To be fair i expected them as a unit to be better tonight. Sanchez, Dier, Toby and Jan are not good enough and haven't been for about 18 months. People on these boards love Lamela because he runs around alot but really in is Spurs career he has done feck all.

We know Dele , Lucas, Aurier and Davies are not good enough on a consistent basis to move us forward. Yes they have their moments but are nothing more then squad players. The fact three of them seem to play every week shows how poor we really are.

Jose is deluded if he thinks we only need a couple of changes.
