Yes I get that but it’s a mental decline. The players didn’t just turn bad.

He’s been suggesting that players are losing focus as they reach the end of their contracts or are failing to get moves away from the club. He’s been frustrated at his lack of control over the players we’ve bought in and you can see our midfield is a real mess.

I do think he’s tactically weak but it’s the same Manager that got us to 2nd/3rd and the final of the CL.

This is a problem with morale and focus in the squad and Poch has been warning about this for years.

Yeah, it's a bit of a mess alright. No idea where we go from here.

It’s a great shame but it’s inevitable.

The same pattern that happened to the Berbatov/Keane team and the Modric/Bale one.

We get close and then the big players leave when they see a lack of investment in new players.

Poch In.

Not because he's magic, elite or got some sort bye because of what he's done previously with us.

Because the alternative is way too much of a gamble. Look at United, Chelsea and Arsenal. Remember the manager merry go round we were on before. People have short memories in football.

Fuck it, vote showing some loyalty for once in football. Would rather the roll the dice with Poch. It's the smarter gamble.

I agree with this but the difference is Poch and this crop of players are one unit. The manager is the face of the squad.

The question you need to ask yourself is:

1) Given the squad needs to re-build, and this would take several transfer windows (Man Utd took 2-3 years and went through even more high-profile managers than us and still failing), how likely is it that Poch can 'identify' with a new crop of players?

For me the answer to above is low; in my mind only Fergie and to some extent Wenger had survived long enough to identify with 2 distinct generation of players.

2) If the answer to the above is 'low' then we need a new manager; the question then is when and who

To the 'who' i have no idea. But to when i think we need at least end of this season; reason is with the state of player contracts at the moment only short term fixes are likely and a newcomer wont know our squad better than Poch; so he probably has the best chance of digging us out of this.

So while i'm in the "Poch in" camp, even if you want to replace him please let this happen end of this season earliest.

I'm all for that..
IF he's going to pick a side that leaves it all out on the pitch.

Can't keep picking sides that's producing the slow, predictable and unimaginative football that we're seeing week in week out, and all the while results arn't improving.

Because no matter what way you cut it, that's not sustainable no matter past achievements.

Poch warned this would happen years ago if the club didn’t start investing and still the fans blame him when it happens.
When did he warn us that he was going to adopt a shit system and make baffling tactical and personnel decisions exactly?

Well then why didn’t he look to supplement the squad with the multitude of inexpensive defensive cover signings he could have?

There’s loads of good value out there and he’s turned his nose up at loads of it. In the meantime, others have massively strengthened

He can warn us all he likes, how many games have we lost in 2019 to teams with much worse players than we have?

That’s the reason why so many people are fucked off. We’re not moaning about losing at Anfield or Stamford Bridge. It’s the fucking shit like the three we’ve lost in the league this season so far, or at home to West Ham and Wolves, and games against Southampton, Burnley etc

We’re fucking miles better than all these teams yet we keep losing to them. That’s just shit management, sorry.

We were much better than those teams when we had Dembele dominating the midfield but our midfield now is a mess.

Out.

No consistency points to the culture in the squad and the coaching staff drives that. Well coached and managed squads achieve a baseline of performance so that even if you have a couple of poor runs, they do not continue for more than a handful of games.

We've lost half the effing games played this calendar year. This is 90's form.

So take away Dembele and we go from a title challenger to relegation form?

Fuck me, he was some player!

Too many excuses. I love Poch but a spades still a spade. We lose loads of games against teams that are worse than us. It’s really that simple.

Poch Inners will be hissing at their screens after reading that fact
The only way I can see him staying is if Levy is prepared to just write this season off, including no CL, because if this goes on another month or so we are almost certainly finishing outside the top 4.

I don't think Levy will stomach that.

If you can’t tackle or protect the defence in centre midfield you aren’t going to beat anyone.

“Pochettino has always been a fan and has previously called Dembele "one of the greatest talents in the history of football" and admits that his Belgian could have been even more had it not been for his injury woes.
"I think the problem is about his fitness, no? Because, that is about his quality, there is no doubt that like I have told you many times, for me he is a genius, an unbelievable player," he said.
The Spurs boss has also said: "I always say to him, ‘Mousa, when I write my book, you will be one of my genius players that I have been lucky enough to meet.
"One was Maradona; also Ronaldinho, Okocha and Iván de la Peña – he was a genius, too – and then Mousa.
"We always tell Mousa that if we had taken him at 18 or 19, he would have become one of the best players in the world."

Yeah so not bad then

I think that's accurate.

Levy will be hoping this turns round quickly, but fail to beat Waford and a hammering at Anfield will see the end of Poch, unless like you say, he's prepared to write off top 4 and is going to back Poch with a complete rebuild
