Actually think he is a very smart signing for a team looking to stay up. Plenty of experience in the league, off the ball will give you plenty of running and strength and tactically he is very good carrying out the job given to him. Added to that, been suggested he is a positive influence on the dressing room so all in all could be a very astute bit of business by Watford.

He's a loyal workhorse who's played at the top level for both club and country. I think we should give the bloke some more respect as to what he's worth.

A work horse that hides behind other players and in possession points at other players rather than demanding the ball. A work horse that loses his man regulary at set pieces and manages to jump at a lower level than he is standing.
He had one good year that managed him an extansion. Everything else was not good enough for us in all aspects.

Personally think it’s a great signing for Watford. PL proven player with bags of experience and hard working. This is what a team that will be battling relegation needs.

I highly doubt it’s 10m. I think the journos are outing 2 and 2 together because that’s how much the fee for Hughes is and mouses is replacing him.

Sissoko, on the whole, has bever had the ability to be a consistently important player for us. But of course he certainly had some purple patches under Poch where his pace and power and ability to carry the ball from deep were effective.

However by all accounts he has always been looked up to off the pitch and in the changing room and has always conducted himself well. He's given his all for us when he's played even if the talent wasn't there to match.

Yes - he certainly needs to move on and probably wasn't worth the money we invested initially. But I won't think badly of the bloke. I hope goes to Watford and has a lease of life as a leader there.

I say this genuinely and with no hyperbole: £10m for Sissoko is the most astonishing figure I have seen for a transfer. :wideyed:

I wouldn't ne surprised if the link shared above turns out to be a '£10m deal' - i.e. it includes his wages on his new contract with Watford. But let's see.

Finally hes going to be off the books, but whats the most exciting out of this is that we will probably get one of our CM targets in now.

A lot of jokes will get played at Sissoko’s expense over the next day or so, not the most naturally gifted of players but people are quick to forget he carried the team for 18 months. Got voted player of the season on here and by Spurs Legends. Wish him all the best and will suit Watford. Invaluable player to get you up the pitch.

I just hope the Watford fans in the front row have their protective gear ready to deal with his first touch. Apart from that he will offer them a very useful player breaking up play and covering a lot of ground when they are under pressure so a good signing for them.
