Really hope he continues to show well for himself and gets a PL loan next year. Really encouraging loan.

Great to see him doing well, mate of mine who supports Stoke was raving about him at the weekend.

Think he's been written off by some on here far too early - easy to forget both Clarke and Sessegnon are still only 20 years old, same age as Skipp.

As an aside - Clarke has already racked up 12 appearances for Stoke. Not bad considering he signed for them on January 14th.

The thing about Clarke is he is incredibly inexperienced, he hasn't actually played much football.

The talent is clear to see but he needed to play, if he's playing and enjoying it, I'd give him another season at Stoke.

i think a pl loan is a little beyond him at this point, this was his first start in six games.

The thing is, @Blake Griffin , I know Twitter isn't the most popular word on this site, but the friend of @freeeki seems to echo the sentiment of a fair few Stoke fans. There's regular angry tweets whenever Clarke has been subbed off, or not started.

The lad seems to be rather appreciated by the supporters.

Great to hear. It would do his development the world of good if he can stay at Stoke for another season and try and make up for lost time.

Hopefully his uptick in form means he’ll be back to featuring in the England youth setup this international break (eligible for the U20s and U21s).

Playing for England at youth levels seems to bring a breath of confidence [and status] for many players — something Jack looked to be lacking in after his “failed” Leeds & QPR loans.

The kid is a gem we cannot let go! SIMPLES??

Hope he develops into a quality player. With that said, another year out on loan at a club that will play him and a manager that will place trust in him is the only way he's going to get better and reach his potential.

I'll be honest and say that I've not seen much in his time at Spurs that has impressed me. He has always looked like a youth team player that is scared of making a mistake.

The lad I saw when we signed him from Leeds excited me. He had so much more confidence and scared opposition fullbacks silly. I want to see him find that again.

Still think he's got the potential to be the perfect Spurs player and a fan favourite.
Excited about the future of this lad, although to be honest, that's based on not much more than a feeling! He's got something about him that I like.

It's probably those fancy ball rolls (y)

When Clarke broke into the Leeds side at just 17 he was a real flair player. He looked like one of the best players in a team that is now full of Premier League players. It looks like he's beginning to find some of that confidence again at Stoke.

Sorry late with this update, but had a chat with someone in Video Analysis.

He didn't make many friends in South Wales put it that way anyways but thought I'd pass on what I was told, "what did surprise me about him was how quick he is and he kind of glides passed players but for me he did remind me of a young bale who every time he got touched went down and felt sorry for himself but that could just be a confidence thing"

"Should look at how Bale developed upper body strength and physique but not sure if he is going to be a Chris Brunt or a Bale he's a weird one for sure".

Feedback from players was "diving prick" when asked.

It's funny actually as Steve Cooper did show an interest in him in the summer, so the same video analysis person had put together a compilation of him but instead they opted for Jamal Lowe of wigan. So he has watched quite a bit of him so I found it interesting that he said he's not sure what he could be.

Seems to be the conscious is he could be whatever he wants to be but its up to him he could just be one of those players that needs confidence to flourish or need to toughen up like Harry did to Bale.

Thank you for sharing this. He does have a ton of raw potential and will need consistent minutes to develop further. Sounds like he's doing well at Stoke and we should see if Stoke want to extend the loan through the next season.
