No preseason appearances but he could feature in the next week. Maybe those games just came too early for him.

On Lo Celso he added: "Let’s see tomorrow. He didn’t play, you are right, he didn’t play one single minute.

"He was one of the players that had to deal with some issues from pre-season. His condition is not the best, but Sunday, Thursday, Sunday, we need him.
"So I want to wait until tomorrow to see if he’s for Sunday, if he’s for Thursday. Gio is there, he can eventually play."
Good to hear. I was worried he might have something more serious.

We missed him today
We’re overly reliant on him, just as we were with Eriksen. Poch spent years chasing a second playmaker (Barkley, Grealish) and only got one when Eriksen had one foot out the door.

To make matters worse, GLC has a groin injury dating back to before the lockdown which Jose suggested needed surgery, but which was never operated on and Rob said this morning that it’s still what’s causing his absence. It seems that the problem will continue to fester.

We desperately need Ndombele to come good, or to replace Lamela with a third creative midfielder with a more reliable track record of being fit and available. This season could go off the rails quickly if Lo Celso is not in the team week in week out which is currently a big doubt.

We needed him today. We struggled against Allan, Doucoure and Gomes and even when Gios not on top of his game creatively he offers alot of combativeness in midfield.

The documentary really highlighted his importance didn't It, everything was going through him as soon as he became a starter. Literally I'd say 80% of the positive things that happened on the pitch, Lo Celso was apart of.

He needs a bit of help doesn't he. A few more technical players on the same wavelength.

This is such fantastic news. While he has had some lackluster matches, Lo Celso is one of the few players in our squad who looks to get the ball forward and he puts in a shift. I think that he is going to be very, very important to us if we’re going to accomplish anything this season.

Hoy-Bier and Ndombele should be able to help out.

I listened to Ally Golds youtube thing after the game, Hojbjerg played our most forward passing during the game, which sums up just how desperately we need Ndombele to get into it and Lo Celso back fit.
