We've got £100M worth of creative midfielders and neither of them are going to be anywhere near our starting eleven as the season begins. Very frustrating.

If we're going to get anything out of Ndombele he needs time on the pitch. I'd be tempted to start him in some matches, safe in the knowledge that he won't last the distance, but leave him on until he's completely gassed (cue the jokes about 4 minutes). It would seem a better way to build match fitness than sitting him on the bench until the 80th minute or whatever.

Ndombele has to be first name on the team sheet in the Europa (or CC games if we lose in Europa early on) for that very reason IMO. He won't get league starts yet but it gives him a platform to impress and build fitness.

I know last season wasn't what we all hoped for/expected, but we aren't going out of the Europa league early for Christs sake !

We shouldn't, but we don't know we won't.

Anyway, on topic I'm really worried about the lack of news about Gio. I assume he's injured but I wish the club would just tell us instead of perhaps dropping it in the team news segment after Jose's presser. It just reminds me too much of the Ledley situation where the club for several years kept schtum about everything surrounding his injury.

The club haven't been reporting on anyones injuries this summer - winks, Tanganga, Ndombele, Lo Celso etc. Nothing to see here. He's been at the games and will be available when he's fit. We are not the only club with injuries in pre season.

Nothing in the José press conference ? I’m low key dreading the Team News tweet from Spurs, hopefully it’s something minor ...
