I actually don’t blame the club when he has played us for a free transfer. However as soon as he got back for pre season they should have made him train away from the first team. What would we have lost ? He has been toilet for ages and I am flabbergasted that Poch continues to play him.

He's done next to fuck all for the whole season but is taking the place of Lucas and Ndombele. Yesterday his inclusion negated the best of Alli and if he's leaving anyway then I don't get a single redeeming feature of him playing. Hopefully those 6 minutes yesterday proved to Poch that Lo Celso is ready and Eriksen can be slowly fucked off

“Slowly be fucked off” Christ, we’ve been nothing but slow with him. He’s been given far too many opportunities to show he’s not shit but has failed every time

I'd say playing him on the right side of midfield, and asking him to track wing backs, is a daft selection choice. But ultimately any player who is halfway committed would at least try.

At one point, I was thinking Eriksen would be one of those player who, like Pirlo, would end up carving out a cult status in his later career.

Now I sadly think that he's going to join a mid-tier/bubbling under team, and just slide into a lazy retirement.

Shame.

I reckon he'll suffer from Paul Scholes syndrome, in such that he's not a big enough 'brand'. Same as Aguero - he's been on top form for years and has barely got near any recognition.

I'm not sure. If Kante can win it then KDB has a chance.

He's clever though. He pops up with the odd bit of quality every once in a while. Just enough to keep himself from being completely vilified. Then does fuck all the rest of the time. Is really looking forward to that big fat juicy signing on fee he'll get all to himself and hopefully a nice Spanish villa to spend it on.

That's not clever. Clever would be playing out of his skin so that Barca and Real have to take notice of him.

curious to see where he actually can go to now?
That's pure business. Top club could sign him on a 4 year deal for 12-13 mln EUR/ year + 10 mln as sign on bonus. If after 2 years he doesn't play they sell him for at least EUR 20 mln or so (likely 30 mln). Some clubs like to land experienced players from top leagues

So in the worst scenario your loss is limited to EUR 5-15 mln (and now compare it to alternatives e.g. Pogba)

Further, our business with top clubs is very successful so far - Modric, Bale, Berbatov, Carrick, Walker all left to top clubs and are very successful

Its 7:44 on Monday October 28th the day after and I still hate Christian Eriksen. Never thought i’d see the day that I felt this way about a Spurs player. But the lack of respect he has for this club and its supporters is shocking. Get him out.

If I'm playing Ultimate Team, and one of my players is refusing to let me apply a contract consumable on him, and he's playing like trash, I quick sell that marfq, I don't keep playing him.

I’m wondering how many top clubs will be knocking Eriksen’s door down to pay him £200k a week when he’ll be 29 come the end of next season.

I wouldn’t give him a new contract now even if he wanted one.

He's a free agent, loads of clubs will want him despite his recent form.

The majority of top clubs who can pay him what he wants I suspect.

Eriksen on a free is a great business move, an attractive gamble because there's no fee attached to him.

If I was managing a top club (a proper top club, Bayern, Barca, Madrid etc.) I wouldn't sign him on huge wages.

Very likely he'll end up like Ozil and Sanchez. An ageing big name on massive wages sitting on the bench.

Juve gave Ramsey £400k a week and Rabiot £220k a week, Eriksen will be able to command something similar because he is a free agent. Due to his high profile he'll be able to dictate where he moves to and for how much.
