This would be a depressing move. Coutinho is still a quality player IMO. For the record I also certainly don't think Liverpool got better because he left, he used to be their link from midfield to attack, whenever he didn't play they suffered.

He would be a fantastic signing for Arsenal and would have them looking very dangerous for the next season. It's these types of moves I was really hoping we would make, not ones to fill a hole, but ones that really show we're pushing on and making a statement.

Sounds like the same scenario as Cabellos. We only want to sign not loan which is fair enough. I'd rather sign Fernandes than loan Coutinho with no option to sign. We're better off developing our own players than other team's.

We've better manager, CL football, finished above and announced post-tax profit of £113m ever made by a Premier League side. And two days before window closes we are knee deep in shit (no resolution whatever on Eriksen / Toby, unable to sign 1st team player apart from Ndombele). Jesus how bad are we on transfer market??? Well unable to sign Fulham player Poch wants despite trying for god knows how long speaks volumes.

CL places? I’d be worried about the chasing pack too!

Everton and Wolves took more points than we did in the 2nd half of last season and they’re both stronger, we’ll be weaker.
