If it happened, it would have to be in a similar vein to how TV money is split to ensure the smaller clubs get a cut too so it doesn’t just make the rich clubs richer and widen the gap.
Exactly the same as it’s done now mate, sold by the premier league to ensure parity.

I remember seeing some calculations, may have been on here or in a article, that made sense for Amazon to buy the global rights to football in this country and make it available for around £8 a month.

It was based on the lifting the 3pm kick off broadcasting law and would also give people the choice in what match to watch. The estimated numbers were huge.

It’s always pissed me off that we seem to pay the most to watch the PL in this country, have a very limited choice of matches whilst other countries get to watch any match they wish for a fraction of the price.

I’ll try find the article..

The Sky/BT model is outdated, it worked when the PL first started but now, with the broadcasting technology available, it’s in major need of an overhaul.

Seems as though you can now get the BT Sport app on NowTV and can sign up for £25 p/m, contract free. I think this is probably the route I'll go down.

Have you found it for £25 recently? It seems to be £33 for me at the moment. And it looks like you need a separate sub for BT Sport's. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for the season ticket, but they got burned with that last season as they had to extend everyone's passes to include the end of the season.

That's the BT Sport channels. It doesn't include Sky Sports.
My post you quoted was about BT Sport?

BT Sport (via Now TV): £25 p/m
Sky Sports (via Now TV): £33.99 p/m
Amazon Prime (via Firestick): £7.99 p/m

A lot of money for TV but the schedules are released far enough in advance to know which passes you need in which months I think.

Sorry, I got my wires crossed. I thought you were talking about a combined sky and bt pass.

£25 sounds really expensive for BT sport. I think I'm playing £10 through Plusnet.

Unfortunately Sky has most PM games but BT has all the European ones, so most months you need both. As has been pointed out though BT can be got cheaper through various packages - e.g. if you're with EE or can easily switch to them, they offer a lot of plans with a free swappable add-on which includes BT on your mobile or you can pay £15 a month to have it on the TV. Still a total rip-off but it helps somewhat.

I've had an offer from Now TV for Sky Sports - £20 a month for nine months. It seems like a decent deal as long as the season isn't stopped again.

Looks like you can cancel at any time, you just lose the offer price if you do.

Newcastle game moved to 28/9 for TV, so means we play on 28th, potentially Carabao Cup on 29th, then Europa on 1st October.
Blanket TV coverage might not be a good thing for all clubs!

I wouldn't be surprised, but they must have to move the game around for that.
They cant expect us to play back to back games

Not seeing anything on PL website, or either club website to confirm this though.
