There's some odd comparisons and scenarios in here. if you're in a competition you try and win it no matter how prestigious it is compared to other competitions. Whichever trophy you win is just a reflection of where you are as a club. .

This is not really the case though or hasn’t been in terms of our development as a club over the last fifteen years. Rightly or wrongly we have regularly prioritised finishing in the top four over all other competitions other than maybe the Champions League itself. We have literally fielded weaker sides in the cup competitions. We were still trying to win those competitions but we put ourselves at a big but calculated disadvantage by not playing our best team. I’m sure we would have a much better record in the Europa League if we had regularly played our best teams.

Joao Sacramento his former assistant who was reportedly widely disliked by most at the club, fired from the assistant job at Roma as he was poor at communicating to players/ disliked again; looks like he's getting a managers job of his own! That's going to go down as a worse appointment than AVB! Sol will get a job next- the world has gone mad

I can definitely see him going there

Agree. Leaving Roma after a decent domestic season and having secured them their first European trophy will be seen as a boost to his legacy and Jose will view winning the CL with PSG as a perfect way of capping his managerial career in club football. He's washed these days but PSG will still walk their league and Mbappe, Messi and Neymar playing for a counter-attacking side will be dangerous in the CL.

Speaking for myself, it comes as no surprise that any financially doped club, at some point, will consider appointing Mourinho as coach.

I 100% can see this happening. Jose is about as guaranteed as you can get to win a trophy, especially in Europe nowadays. He will grind his way to the CL if he went to PSG.

It makes sense for both parties, Jose managing at the highest level again and PSG getting a manager who they think will give them the CL they crave.

It’s amazing it has taken this long. Hope we draw them in the champions league if he goes there, so we can smash them.

I mean winning the Conference League is a success but Roma still spent a lot of money and ended up one point and one place better. He's clearly got some repor with the fans now and I think that must mean something to him given that he was never loved here or at United; think he'd be daft to throw it away.

He is by far the worst manager I've seen at Spurs in my 32 years, Nuno is on par. I played golf with my United supporting mate today l when I said Jose might be going PSG he responded when we people learn! He was the worst thing to happen to Utd he set the back quite a few years. He did the same for us the point of getting rid of Poch and appointing Jose was about progression but he took us so far back it's crazy people think this guys still elite

Completely agree. His idea on how football should be played is the opposite to what the fans pay their money to see.

Football is the entertainment business. Jose’s brand of football was enough to send you to sleep.

Even for SC this is an extraordinarily dumb take.

Fed up of with these needly little ‘nothing’ comments.

Thread tumbleweed like this just clogs up the space without anything worth debating.

Back up your reply with something tangible or keep it moving!

Oh come on, everyone had a little chuckle at Jose when he said getting that Man U side to finish second a couple of seasons ago and win a trophy was his greatest managerial achievement.
Look at the state of Man U, what have they done since he left them?
