I think he does care, he’s just not good enough. A loan to Newcastle is a good move for him. He should take that. He won’t get anything better.

He just needs to go away! Awful footballer and thinks he’s so good. Really annoys me when you see him shouting at players thinking he’s Zidane, whereas it’s probably his shit pass that’s put people under pressure.

Happy to pay for his one way ticket to Newcastle.

Woeful woeful player! With no idea of what position he is actually trying to play in midfield. He isn’t a defensive player and he isn’t attacking either!

Seems like Newcastle is keen on Winks

"Bruce is keen to bring in players with Premier League experience, but he can only bring in two loans. Choudhury is his priority, but he is also interested in a move for Winks who could be made available on loan this week. "

Always liked Steve Bruce. Great eye for a player.

Agree. Newcastle would give him the chance to at least play regularly and from his point of view, make a play to get back in the England set up. I've nothing against Winks as a man but he should realise his times up with Spurs.

Doesnt help keep bringing him on and playing him in Europe. Should be omitted like Tanguy so he realises his time is up. Its brutal but surely it gives him hope knowing he is involved?

I can not understand what Winks has done to become so little liked. Ok, he has ended up as a squad player, he has not fulfilled his early shown potential, that's for sure. But to me he looks like he is a model professional, trains hard, loves the club, and want to fight for a place. with 3 years to go on his contract. Yet he is talked about in here like he is not fit to wear our shirt. I cant understand it.

He leaked to the press last season, deliberately undermining the squad

Pretty sure some of the ITK guys in here said Winks went to the papers about managers?

I loved Winks under Poch was a massive fan but something wasnt right as time has gone in. Mentioned it before but there are games where has gone hiding and very obvious aswell.

I hope he goes away and absolutely smashes it and does well.

I think it's down to whether or not you take ITK as gospel or not.

This would be a good move for him. It's clear his time here is up one way or another. He once had potential, but that seems to be long gone now. A change could do him a world of good. New surroundings, different players and coaching methods. At the very least, he'd get more game time, potentially raising his value. Or this could be a repeat of the Danny Rose trajectory: loan to Newcastle > banished to U23 > move to Watford.
