There's still some changes that need to be made imo, LB for starters. I quite like Foyth at RB but admittedly it's Red star so want to see him vs better opposition but in January we should be looking for a CB and DM imo and depending on Foyth a RB.
I certainly agree with that but I think this is the shell. We can build on this and improve those weaknesses

I like what I'm seeing.
Look good going forward playing nice stuff just need to somehow stop panicking when we lose possession. We seem to mak those situations even worse with the way we panic and throw ourselves at the ball to win it it back.

Not going to get carried away because of the opposition and it's one half of football but there are a lot of encouraging signs there.

I think we'll still have bumps and imperfections but this needs to be the team going forward.
We are controlling the game a lot better and some nice moves up top which will get better the more games lo celso and the others play together, only negative is we’ve shit our pants whenever they’ve attacked. If we can tighten up a bit then spurs 2.0 looking promising

That was a strange half, loads of possession, some good performances, 1 up but should be 2-1 down.

Gazzaniga - 2 excellent saves.
Lo Celso - very good with his energy, movement, passing and both initially created and then scored the goal.
Ndombele - started well but dropped off following a couple of heavy challenges.
Sissoko - solid but please don’t shoot like ever.
Foyth - been fine, composed in possession and productive with the ball.
Sanchez - looks confident and is playing well.
Kane and Son - both involved in the goal but both have been guilty of poor touches and decision making.
Dier - has been poor, maybe he’s rusty but picked up a stupid yellow and at fault for both RS chances.
Alli - he’s been woeful, awful movement, passing and decision making.
Rose - another who’s struggling, a couple of rash challenges and as usual, piss poor going forward.

Changes:

Sessegnon for Alli.

That yellow for Dier was an atrocious decision. He got booked for winning a header fairly. Stupid yellow? No chance

Yeah must admit I'm waiting for fulltime to get excited but this is the first time this season where I feel like we've seen a glimpse into the future, nice to see Dele behind Kane, Lo Celso suiting the right role with the ability to interchange with the rest of the front 4. Ndombele deep with a midfielder next to him and Sanchez and Foyth both in the team.

Foyth and Lo Celso have a great understanding, could be a real formidable partnership

Did you see the interchange between the two when Foyth was wide with space behind the defender and LoCelso passed it to him. When Foyth passed backwards, GLC admonished him for not taking the man on. Two things stuck out is that there was already the understanding you wrote about and GLC is somebody who wants to make things happen rather than wait for them to happen. He may be that vital change we've needed.

Need a proper DM to protect the centre backs. But we all knew that.

Good first half, 2 heart attack defending moments aside.

Dele is getting in the right places and finding space. He is frustrated with himself, you can see it on his face. That's a good thing. He'll come good soon enough.

Agree, he's not in form and trying things that are not his true game. Like 30 yd through balls when his game is the tight 5 or 10 yd one's. It's just his and the teams form. His performance and talent is still there.

Good to have some options on the bench.

For example, If we can hold off Red Star until the 60th minute, we can then take off GLC for Eriksen to sure up the loss.

Defence looks so suspect it’s crazy. Polar opposite going forward, we look in control and confident.

The beast of a defensive midfielder is missing from the side. As well as the full backs of course. Address these issues and I’m looking forward to seeing how this evolution works out.

Some nice little bits and pieces up top as you say. I think once they’re settled and all at it, we’ll create chances a plenty.

I think this is a nicely balanced system, and the one i've been arguing for a while that we should be playing. We are lacking a few runs in behind from Son and Dele though.

i love Foyth but my take on him is that in past seasons, he underestimated the speed and quickness of those he was up against. Hence, he was forced to go to ground or was caught napping on the ball more than he should. with that said, if he learned that lesson, he would be in interesting piece in the puzzle as i think RB is as big as a priority as we have.
