We've drifted from 11/2 favourites to 8/1 second favourites (behind Juventus, who are 11/2).

You can get odds of 9/10 on any of the CL drop out teams to win the Europa League on BWIN. Looks good..

All of the teams that have dropped down from the CL would be a tough draw. Wouldn't say we are one of the favourites at all.

I'd love a tie against Ajax, such an iconic club as far as I'm concerned. No idea when the last time we played them competitively was, certainly not in my lifetime.

Also got the whole Jan/Eriksen thing. Add a little something extra.

This comp just got real

No, what you actually meant to say is, "the comp just shit." You cannot be serious mate, how can you agree with this flawed, money making system? You really want filthy CL rejects in our league? What a joke of a system. It's an absolute disgrace that CL rejects get to join Europa, an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE! If they can't hack it with the big boys, then they should GET OUT OF EUROPE!

Imo it's the inclusion of the CL dropouts which highlights that the EL is the sporting equivalent of sloppy 2nds.

It's a disgrace that teams can fail in one competition and then get a free ride to the knockout stages of another and more often than not those teams win it as they generally have bigger and better squads.

If they want the teams and fans to take it more seriously they should ditch the league stage and go straight to two legged knockout and not allow any CL failures a second chance.

Giving a CL place to the winner is a good start but it's not enough imo.

We've got Arsenal in the league the weekend after the round of 16 first leg. Hopefully we'll get someone decent but beatable in the RO32 and someone mightily piss easy in the RO16. In an ideal world maybe PSV then something like Genk/Esbjerg.

We'll end up with Porto then Juventus/Benfica.

Ajax are more scary to me than Napoli. Their movement is on another planet when compared to ours

while their finishing is even worse than ours. they missed zillion chances tonight against really poor Milan

I look forward to seeing us play the "big teams" but you're spot on really. Makes a mockery of both competitions

The teams dropping down from the champions league seems to be a much more dangerous group than past seasons. I'd say we've dropped from favourite, down to about 5th or 6th favourite now

Shakhtar Donetsk
Juventus
Benfica
Viktoria Plzeň
Basel
Napoli
Porto
Ajax

This comp just got real, going to be some good games from here in, must say I'm looking forward to it now!

Anyone still think we can win, or make it to the final?
It depends who we get in the draw. If we have to travel to Israel , Russia or the Ukraine at the wrong time, it could derail our league campaign, which would have a knock on effect with the Europa league campaign.

Whoever it is, lets hope its a home game.
