Still think Dele has a part to play with us. If he's willing to put the work in, I can see him benefitting greatly from teams doubling up on Bale or Son, Kane's recent form as assist master, our new fullbacks who can cross the ball accurately and Toby's accurate long passes. Wouldn't shock me to see Dele get a minimum of 20 combined goals & assists this season.

------Kane--------
Son---Dele---Bale
GLC-------PEH
Reguilon---Dier----Toby----Aurier

I don’t think it’s so far fetched but I wouldn’t personally put any money on it.

His issue for me is that he doesn’t dictate play, and while I appreciate he’s a risk taking player, he doesn’t keep the ball well enough.

I don’t disagree with how you think he’d fit into the team, but that then tells you he’s competing with Ndombele. In reality, Tanguy is a much more accomplished CM technically. In fact it’s not even close.

So while I think Dele has something to offer, stg this point hes rightly on the bench

I appreciate you sharing a different take on my post. I want him to do well as I think he still has a lot to offer us but if he's not motivated by the challenge to improve, then yeah, we should right him off. With that said, something tells me that he's itching to prove people wrong and that he will make it hard for Jose and Gareth to not pick him to start for Tottenham and England.

I wouldn’t call that cheekiness, I would call it something else beginning with c.

You can see MD wanted to lump him one.

Dele came across as very immature in AON.

Doesn’t look like much has changed.

And then you can also see Doherty laughing when he does it to Bergwijn...

Calm down, it’s obviously a thing and banter between them.

I personally think there’s better ways of being funny than slapping someone around the back of the head.
You sound like a manager, someone that clearly doesn't understand a close group of people and how they joke around with each other.

I got pulled into a disciplinary once and got a second level written warning because a picture of me and one of my best mates on my shift were putting our middle fingers up to each other was on Facebook.

Trying to explain to a manager in a disciplinary that thats just how we greet each other (literally, I work in a loud factory so when you see a close friend from more than 6 feet away, "hello" is either a middle finger or a wanker gesture) was harder than it should have been.

We got a glimpse of the banter that goes on in the amazon doc, but thinking Dele is a horrible guy from those vids is ridiculous and naive.

Lame.

Grow up and focus on getting back in the team rather than Instagram likes.

I see where youre coming from... but him having a laugh doesnt mean he is not focussing on getting back into the team. The fact he still feels part of the group after a tough few weeks is important. I am sure theyre all doing it to each other...

Also on a side point, I suspect it is actually important for our players to be prominent in social media (obviously within reason) it boosts the clubs profile.

I'm honestly staggered that people are genuinely annoyed by this. Like have some of you ever had any fun with friends? Just fucking wow.

Meh. It's like this:

A bit ****ish, but isn't all banter really. I found it funny. Obviously Doherty did as well too (after a short bit).

I think some on here have forgotten what it was like to be young and immature. I often speak to friends about what we got up to when we were younger and some of the things are actually embarrassing! Try telling me that 25 yers ago and I would have said you are a sad so and so

At 9 maybe I was that immature. At 24 no, not really.

Can't say I get how slapping someone around the head is meant to be funny, but then I've no idea what the hell he's saying either, so I'm probably not best placed to comment nor care.
