PSG expected to return with improved loan bid for Tottenham's Dele Alli
Mourinho will attempt to reintegrate midfielder if no deal is reached before the end of the transfer window

Paris Saint-Germain have raised the stakes again in their pursuit of Dele Alli with a fresh loan bid expected, meaning that the uncertainty over his future will probably extend to Monday’s 11pm deadline.
The French champions have made the Englishman their priority target for the closing days of the window and are determined to test the resolve of the Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to hang on to the player, who has been left out of two of the past three matchday squads.
The loan fee for Alli for one season could be as much as £8 million, although it is not clear whether PSG would be prepared to go that high.
Alli, 24, is keen for a new challenge and has made that clear to his club. Spurs play Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, and Jose Mourinho will name his squad for the game some time on Saturday.
The obstacle facing PSG is concluding a deal with Levy, who has so far proved resistant to allowing one of the club’s biggest stars of the past five years to move on.

Despite Mourinho’s face-to-face criticism of Alli, which was captured in the Amazon Prime documentary series, the Spurs manager is not demanding that the player leaves and if no deal is agreed he will try to reintegrate Alli in the squad.
PSG have already has two loan bids rejected with the most recent understood to include a fee of about £4 million.
Alli was first suggested as a part of the deal that brought Gareth Bale back to Real Madrid on loan – but that deal was concluded without the Englishman leaving.

If we loan him it has to be for a considerable up front fee, with us paying none of his wages for that season, and an obligation to buy triggered after he’s appeared a certain amount of matches. Otherwise no dice.

Bayern paid £8m for Coutinho on loan, I'd imagine we wouldn't really let Alli go to PSG for less than that

What he would have made clear to the club is he wants to play. It is club propaganda that has twisted his reasonable request into something else.

What if ... José n Joao saw the fixture list ... know we can beat saints magpies and the Europa fixtures and know Dele would be so pissed about missing Chelsea + needed to keep players fresh = Dele starts against manure and plays a blinder in Sonny’s absence

I thought after he came off on Thursday night that he would start this game today. Similar to the TND situation, Jose has had to deal with a "problem" personality and he has managed to turn it around. I think something similar is going on with Alli and Jose is giving Alli a challenge to turn it around. If he started him today I would imagine he will have a serious fire in his belly with a point to prove.

Dele treatment seems to be going the same route as Tanguy
Out of a squad for a few games
Perform well in training
A few sub appearances

Now will he make the next step like Tanguy ?

Thing is, we can only play 11 players and realistically only 3/4 midfielders at any given time. We have a large squad and unusually few injuries. With the high volume of league, Europe and cup games to come in the next few months Dele will get plenty of minutes/starts if he stays, not withstanding potential for an injury/fatigue along the way. I'd say only Hugo, PEH, Kane and Son are rotation proof at this stage, as long as Dele's attitude is positive and for the good of the team he'll play his part across the season.

This is the biggest challenge of Allis career. He's been an "undroppable" player for so long, from so young. As Jose was saying yesterday he's going to need to be exceptional to break into this team.

He's never faced this before and I think it will be good for him.

Don't be surprised if Ndombele starts winning the ball back more than Lo Celso. I noticed already his pretty good at interceptions.
The deeper role can be played imo by Lo Celso and Ndombele similarly to how Modric operated.

Imo we could have a midfield of
Lo Celso Ndombele Dele.

Your defence of Dele just took a turn to fully crazy there.

The importance of a good defence midfielder in criminally under-rated at times.

Is it because of one game you've decided to pick this up...Many people wrote off Aurier Sissoko Ndombele Sanchez even Dier off in the past

We are going to play many games and yes that midfield could work against certain teams.

Stop being a prick.

Why resort to name calling?

I’ve also clearly stated the importance of a defensive midfielder, so try reading my post properly.

A midfield of Dele, Lo Celso and Ndombele would get bullied to high heavens.

Still think Dele has a part to play with us. If he's willing to put the work in, I can see him benefitting greatly from teams doubling up on Bale or Son, Kane's recent form as assist master, our new fullbacks who can cross the ball accurately and Toby's accurate long passes. Wouldn't shock me to see Dele get a minimum of 20 combined goals & assists this season.

------Kane--------
Son---Dele---Bale
GLC-------PEH
Reguilon---Dier----Toby----Aurier
