according to the BBC - I don't know if that's the official tally - but I guess no-one on 4 should be risked v Derby

I can see a lot of changes for that game with the UEFA and final coming up

Hudd wouldnt be a huge miss, and i could see Dawson being on the bench for the final anyway (king and woodgate to start) so if they do get suspended they both arnt huge players we will miss... but still best not to risk, save them for the first leg of UEFA cup, and then rest some for the 2nd leg (as long as we have the game won in the first leg)

woody is suspended for the derby match aswell.

So we would have to go with something like:

Hutton-----Kaboul-----Chimbonda----Gilberto/Lee

Good stat spot and raises some interesting rotation questions.

I think Ramos will absolutely have his eye on the CC final (costing me £300 a ticket @"$"&!) and the UEFA cup games when making team selections. I can see Hudd and Daws both being rotated out for the Derby game.

I think King will be in cotton wool and bubblewrap until the CC final and Berba and Keane might get some time out over the next 3 games (but not at the same time now!).

I reckon we'll put a good team out in the UEFA away leg and try to wrap it up with a 2+ goal lead (speaking hopefully here). That way we can rest players for the home leg which is conveniently 3 days before the CC final.

The next 2 weeks maketh the season boys...

It's actually fantastically lucky that we've got Derby this weekend, because they're the one Premiership side we can field a weakened side against and get away with it. It could only be better if we were at home. I'm sure Juande will play as strong a team as possible against Slavia in Prague. Wenger rested a few of his main men over there and was lucky to get away with a draw, and we didn't exactly cruise it against them last year.

They are unbeaten in 2 games! Eek

Derby are much better now than when they came to the Lane.

If woodgate is suspended it make even more sense that King was rested for Saturday and the following weeks international call ups. King and Daws for Derby. Gilberto and Hutton @ FB

One of Berb or Keane to sit out in fvaour of Bent if it's true that he's gonna be fit. I can see Lemon or Steed rested too. JJ will start maybe TT back in the side with hudd rested too.

Chimbonda is a right diddy

I don't think Daws should be risked against Derby but Huddlestone could be. If he got booked we'd have Woodgate/King with Daws/chimbo on the bench. We'd also have TT would probably be better against Chelsea or Zokora.

Should we risk King against Derby? I don't really think he'll be challenged that much, he may just end up playing as someone who launches attacks rather than defends. Huddlestone can do that though, but I wouldn't want him alongside someone who isn't an established centre back.

I really don't think Daws or Hudd should be risked - they'd be in the 16 for Wembley and as such are important - let's be honest we can't rely on Leds to be fit - and he surely has to play one game (if only for an hour) before final else he'll be losing match fitness again - whether that game should be Derby or Slavia mmmm

why not give Kaboul a run out v Derby - he's not that bad and it'll keep him focussed

Bent will start against derby

I hope so anyway!

It would be the ideal game for Bent to come back into the team.

Derby are poor enough, though seem to have improved a bit lately. But even so, you'd imagine if Bent starts and plays 90 mins, he'll get AT LEAST 1 chance.

If he can score, perhaps his confidence will come back and we'll have a third in-form striker.

We also need Benty for the bench vs Chelsea. Having him on the bench whether we're behind or ahead in the game is a good option to have.

im confused about Dawson....why doesnt his sending off against Man U in the FA cup mean he will miss any league matches? he's already played v Everton and Man U last weekend and seems to be in contention v Derby, so are FA cup cards scrapped once your out of the comp? i thought cards in cup or league were all the same thing...
