So that is admittance by Levy that he doesn't believe our current strategy works. We actually need to spend smart rather than more. In the past 2 summers we have spent something like 135 million and we mostly just spent it on utter rubbish.To boil it down to it's basic equation, FFP dictates that clubs spend more in line with what they earn through normal economic means and limits the amount owners can "gift".
Having bigger legitimate revenue streams allows a club to spend more and what clubs spend more on is transfer fees and, more importantly (because this is also wired into the FFP legislation) wages.
