I'm interested to know where we will be playing for that season away from the lane... that's really what will upset people.
Sadly it'll be a necessary evil to get the stadium built.

This is true, but I'd hope its 'within London' a move to MK would be awful...Sadly it'll be a necessary evil to get the stadium built.

For those who want Levy out, what are you hoping his replacement is? A billionaire oil sheikh who still has to comply with FFP?
Levy has his faults but he's taken a mediocre brand and turned it into the closest challengers to the historic big clubs in England. He clearly has the club's best interests at heart and I think his bonus of half a million is on the low side as opposed to being outrageously high.
We're now a regular top 5 side with European football year in year out, something most of us would've been ecstatic with 10 years ago, yet one season in the champions league has given the majority unrealistic expectations. The same can be applied to fans views on players, a couple of bad games and the usual viotrol and "championship standard" type quotes come out. Looks like it's Mason this year since everyone is now sucking off Rose.
Can you imagine some of these knee jerk fans being managers at their workplace? They'd be sacking employees left right and centre for one bad day at the office.
Most only hate Levy because they think they're supposed to as they're too uneducated to objectively look at how we've done as a club over the past 5 years.
Maybe I've misunderstood your post but we are one of the historic big clubs in England, only non league team to win the FA Cup, first post war double, first English team to win a European trophy, as pointed out in another thread only us and Utd have won a trophy every decade since the 50's (we've yet to this decade), we've in the past broke the British transfer record to sign players, we used to get crowds around 60-70000, look at England's top scorers list, greaves and Lineker both played for us and I'm sure there's plenty more examples of our rich history even if the present isn't so great.
You seem to suggesting the club's above us are the historic big clubs, city and Chelsea? Just lol
I get your point but I'm talking about financial powerhouses as opposed to teams who have won trophies 50 years ago. If you compare us to the financially rich clubs 10-15 years ago and then look at how far behind we are now, I don't see how anyone can be upset with Levy?
Why not say financial powerhouses instead of historic big clubs? 2 massively different things don't you think?
I was at work on my phone and didn't phrase something ideally, not the end of the world is it?
Being competitive above the level of finances is something other clubs have done as well, it's not really much to brag about.Yeah, the fact we've had opportunities shows we've been competitive, above the level our finances should have us. What the hell could Levy do about the mess Harry made of the semi-final against Pompey? What could Levy do about our penalties against United?
We've won as much as Swansea, Blackburn and a number of other clubs.Of course, I forgot the rest of the clubs in the top flight have been filling their trophy cabinets while we've only been winning that 1 trophy
Don't know and don't care.Still, they've seen us make it to 4 League Cup finals, and what other club has done that?
I see, so it wasn't Levy who employed Hoddle as Manager it was Chirpy just disguised as Levy! And to be that bit more pedantic, ENIC have only been in full control for 12 years, because they didn't buy up remaining shares until 2003.
Who employed the unbelievably loved Sherwood? Who employed Redknapp and AVB?Oh come on, that's just weak. It's Levy's fault that the unbelievably loved Sherwood took us out of 3 cup competitions in 4 games last season? It's Levy's fault that Redknapp & AVB couldn't get results against the teams you mentioned? Bloody hell, I know the man has his detractors, but I never realised he selected the team & gave out the instructions to the players
Going forward, we have restructured the footballing side of the Club to ensure our sporting philosophy is adhered to – we need to ensure that we have a balance of experienced and home grown players, playing attacking, entertaining football our fans love to watch. Perhaps we had lost our way a little bit in this respect, so this will be our guiding principle as we embark on the summer transfer window.
I hope someone can answer these questions. In respect of driving higher revenues in order to enable greater investment in players, it is clearly evident that we need a ‘game changer’ to lift this Club to the next level - namely an increased capacity stadium.
Currently we are competing for Champions League qualification whilst driving revenue in the smallest stadium of the top six clubs in the Premier League. The new stadium is, therefore, critical.
I hope someone can answer these questions.
How will the stadium allow us to go to the next level, that next level being champions league?
When we will get to the next level?
It's more critical that you choose the right head coach, that is the most important investment you can make.
So many people are quoting my original post- I am starting to feel like Levy and people are directing their anger at me.I hope someone can answer these questions.

To boil it down to it's basic equation, FFP dictates that clubs spend more in line with what they earn through normal economic means and limits the amount owners can "gift".
Having bigger legitimate revenue streams allows a club to spend more and what clubs spend more on is transfer fees and, more importantly (because this is also wired into the FFP legislation) wages.

According to this our wage bill is 100.4m and Arsenal's is 166.4m.In an answer to how.... higher wages to attract top talent.
In an answer to when.... when we get the right balance ot talant and managment.
