The more you see performances like today the more it affirms you belief that If Levy/ENIC had backed our best manager for decades then we wouldn’t be in such a horrendous mess

Imo it was a business decision to try and replace the manager rather than half a dozen players thus saving themselves money

It seems that this may not be possible and we will have to spend fortunes to replace all the rotten apples anyway

All this and without the man that told us all ages ago that it was going to be painful

What a clusterfuck from the boardroom

If they actually gave a fuck we’d have 3 new players in this week. But we won’t, cause they don’t.

Dont give me this line of its too difficult to do business. Pool and City have done season changing business in January years past. Pool have signed a player already, Dortmund making needed additions, Benfica making a 20mil purchase. Leverkusen bought a player we could have used 3 weeks ago.

And Eriksen would be sold ASAP or told to train with the U23's until the Summer

Absolute joke. I do not blame Eriksen but for one of our star 1st team players who is massively influential to the group, who has been very clear and open in his desire to leave, to be left to run down his contract and still constantly played is fucking negligence from the boardroom

Our contractual issues and the way we dealt with them not long ago were the envy of the league

They are now pathetic

That's the annoying thing, you can't help but feel that if we even sign anyone it would be in the last few days of the window, when we're in desperate need of additions as soon as possible.

LOL, revisionist stuff at it's finest considering no one gave him a second look the moment we got linked with ndombele and Lo Celso.

Some of you really reach hard when you want to create.

Funny shit.

I had come around on him that summer with the idea of him replacing Lamela but didn’t think he should have been our “big purchase” of the summer.

We needed more than Lo Celso, Sessegnon, and Ndombele in the summer. Everyone knew that. Yet here we are playing Eriksen who doesn’t give a fuck and Lamela for the first time in 2 months able to play 10 min a game.

What are you disagreeing with? We all knew our chance with Grealish passed after Villa were promoted. We had no shot at him this Summer.
So why bring him up?

We also know Poch vetoed at least two transfers in that very same window at the end.

Revisionist shit after the fact.

People were fucking CREAMING themselves in the summer over the business we did, it currently looks like a fucking festering shit heap at the moment.

Because it’s a further example of ownership fucking about not getting deals done and letting a couple million getting in the way of really good business. How much better might we look with Grealish and Pereira? Levy fucked up both.

What players did Poch turn down? Tielemans in January, not the summer. Who else?

Did Levy fuck up Pereira? News to me. Think that's a narrative lie.

There were two transfers on deadline day that were vetoed and mentioned in the transfer thread by one of the itk. Could have been Breezer I think.

Grealish wasn't a player many considered to be the sort of caliber player we required - think Kovacic was the player most wanted ... Poles apart if I'm not mistaken ...

Three unglamorous names who’d start games for us now. They’d walk into this team.

So bored of Levy and ENIC. Desperately want new owners to come in with a fresh approach and genuinely give us the best chance of consistently competing. Next season good chance we could be in the Europa playing some random team no ones heard at home in a half full stadium.

Word was Levy wouldn’t deal with the multiple ownership stuff with Pereira, we went on to buy Aurier in the last week of the window. Kovacic was the player wanted most but we needed an additional playmaker to Eriksen regardless of if Kovacic was brought in.
Also I believe you were talking about Levy tried to hijack the Gomes to Everton deal and Poch said no thanks.

No names were mentioned, Breezer just said there were two ready to go then it was all bets were off and no deals.

So not a fuck up, he just didn't want to get involved with something we have had issue with before (moutinho? Can't remember)

So Poch has the power to vetoe deals he doesn't want - Gomes -yet has no say in Aurier?

LOL

Make it up as you go along.
