I just watched the highlights, fuck me that was as boring as hell, punch, punch, grab, punch, punch, grab. If that was the highlights I don't know how people managed to stay awake for the whole match.
Yes it was an awful fight to watch

Fury knew he had the advantage in range so fought at a distance and ducked his head in to wlad while grabbing on everytime they got within each others range

Wlad looked scared to fight on the inside and incapable of adapting his style to fighting a bigger man as he tentatively pawed his jab from a distance and never really looked to close the gap or throw his right with any bad intention (not until the last round when he very nearly had tyson out of there)

I really hope they don't have a rematch - their respective styles make for an ugly and boring right

Personally I want fury to fight wilder next though I suspect if he isn't obligated to rematch wlad he will instead take a relatively easy defensive instead of jumping straight in to a unification bout

It's certainly made the division a lot more exciting from a UK perspective - potential fights with haye and AJ in addition to a unification with wilder all out there now

Even if Dillion White can avoid getting destroyed by AJ he could throw his name in the mix in the future and there could be some very significant domestic fights at the weight (the biggest since then benn, eubank, Watson era)

Haye would smash the homophobic plastic traveller. Trust me.

I was watching the HBO stream and it did make laugh.

The commentators said. 'Fury comes from a different tribe in England. They call themselves the travellers or gypsys. It means they literally move around the country from week to week. Never staying in one place for more than 2 nights.

Tyson was brought up like this. A pikey'

lol at the merican writing his entrance

Except....He wasnt. He lived in council house like all his extended family
That's what travellers are like in Morecambe, whilst driving round in Porsches.

Degale comfortably beat Bute as expected - I wonder what is next for him. A lot of big potential fights out there now

lol Haye has no chance. Tyson pushed him into a 3 year sabbatical. Hes only willing now because he pissed away his money.
He's a bloody Vegan now too and they spend about £200 a day on fruit so he probably needs it for that anyway.

For all Fury's ridiculousness with his antics, they clearly worked on Klitschko. He didn't lick the Klit, but he certainly deserved the win. Fair fucking play to him.

They are definitely having a rematch Wlad as said that all that needs to be sorted out is where the rematch will take place. I can't really get excited about Haye, he couldn't back up his talk, it wouldn't mean much to me if he fought Fury and beat him. It would ust show how poor the division is. AJ I think will have his hands full with Dillian Whyte, Whyte isn't talked about the same as AJ because he doesn't have an olympic medal and he's been banned for drug use. It's a shame they are meeting at this stage really but if AJ wins I think he should just take his time and carry on getting some experience.

That's all a heavyweight fight is usually isn't it? Slow ponderous etc. That's why Joshua looks so exciting as he is so much quicker
That's what it is because the heavyweight division is shit but that's not really what it should be.

Yea I've since seen the footage of wlad confirming he intends to execute the rematch clause

I agree the division is weak and has been for some time but I still think domestic world title fights between combinations of fury, haye, AJ and white would all generate a lot of interest and as a UK boxing fan I'd look forward to them all

To me it doesn't really matter if they've been proven to be of a lower level or that the division as a whole is weak - it's the competition between them as domestic fighters at their level that would create the interest and the events within the fights themselves that would be important (if they had a series of exciting fights that's all that would be important)

Benn losing to Watson never deminished the excitement of his first fight with Eubank. Watson's ko loss to McCallum didn't tarnish the 2 fights he went on to have with Eubank (not did the fact that none of those guys ever fought Jones Jr, Tony, Nunn or Hopkins take away from the drama of future fights between benn, eubank and Collins)

I like Dillion White but I don't think he's on AJ's level personally. I also think it's a perfect time for them to fight. Offers a geniune test in a grudge match of Joshua and affords white plenty of opportunity to rebuild and still get in the mix if he losses quickly.

I still look forward to the potential of a series of domestic fights between all of these guys in the coming years

Hes fighting wilder next. Id be suprised if he fought Haye, unless the purse was heavily weighted towards Tyson. The shoe is on the other foot now.
He won't be fighting wilder next.Wilder is fighting a voluntary in January while povetkin's eye heals then they should be getting it on in the summer.Would like to see fury v wilder but I don't see wilder having a belt after facing povetkin.

Wilders manager was on talksport and said they want wembley with fury. Makes sense. Would be wilders bigggest payday by far.

It would mate I agree but povetkin is his mandatory he has to fight him or lose his title.Povetkin has made a lot more money then wilder has so not sure if they paid him step aside money he would take it.I think wilder is on borrowed time as a champ weather it is fury or povetkin they both beat him.

An amazing performance.

He took his opportunity against an aged, limited fighter.

No question it was genius.

I doubt there will be a rematch

lol, an aged limited fighter with 3 world belts and the 2nd longest reign in heavyweight history

If Fury didn't jab like a 9 year old girl he'd be very hard to beat.

Fair play to him though, deserved his win. Must admit, didn't see him winning at all but I had him up by 3 even with the point deduction.

Boring fight but he made himself awkward to fight and it worked a treat.

Not much out there for DeGale, Badou Jack (great name) would be tricky, he gets past him there is Abraham and Groves. Then that's the division cleaned up.

Will be interesting too see DeGale and Eubank jnr go at it.Pretty sure Eubank will move up to super middle soon proberly after he gets a rematch with Saunders.

Boxing dont work like that mate. Just because A beat B, and C only just beat B. Doest mean B cant beat A.

Chisora probably did better against Wlad than Haye lol

How was that possible when chisora never fought wlad? funny considering your first point

Eubank Jr wants to fight GGG but as Nigel Benn said he would be making a big mistake if he does. Speaking of Eubank and Benn it looks like they will fight again apparently Eubank said yesterday he wants to fight Benn and Benn wants to fight, lol come on guys give it a rest.

Why didn't Wlad ever flight Wilder and try to unify the belts and become the undisputed champion? Not enough money?

Wilder does struggle to fill out 10000 arenas in Alabama his hometown so wouldn't have thought he brings too much money to the table.Wilder has a decent dig but his footwork and boxing skills are poor in my opinion and he has been rocked by some weaker punchers in the division.

Alabama is one of the most racist states in America so that doesn't surprise me, but I wouldn't say that anyone in the division is a big money draw at the moment.

Kitschko has officially invoked the rematch clause.
Seems that a lot of the media reckon the fight will be in Germany, but I don't see why Fury should be forced into that happening.
Did Klitschko ever defend the titles outside Germany???
Fury is the champ, so venue should be entirely down to his choosing.
A Manchester venue makes far more sense to me.
