I'm with Stoof on this one.

Lee has great ability to read the game, his positional play and is actually quite brave. I rate him. Unfortunately he is no the best going forward but I would rather have him than some renegade Full Back who ditches defensive duties to whet their attacking whistles.

Bale tho' - big blow.

At the weekends game chimbs showed us where you should keep a right winger as close to the byline as possible and with hardly any room to cross although he right footed.
Did you have your eyes closed when they attacked? The ONLY person blocking crosses on the left hand side of our defence was Malbranque. Chimbonda just stood off and gave them room time and time again.
Last year at the lane when Utd beat us 4-0 Ronaldo completely slaughtered Lee who couldn't compete with him at any level.
Would that be why 3 of the 4 goals conceded came from the right hand side of our area, the 4th and final goal was from a cross that Robbo could have cut out and that our CB if they hadn't been watching could most likely have done something about too.

Jesus H Christ do you lot like to re-write history or what?

and the first was a dive by ronaldo (i.e. on Lee's side). the one that was infamously replayed on the big screen at half time.

Seems a strange post to me.

The Utd game last year you seem to have remembered 3 of the 4 goals coming down our right. 1 was a penalty conceded on our left, 1 was a tap in from Scholes after Ronaldo got to the byline down our left, 1 was a header from a corner so its pretty irrelevant which side any attack was down and 1 come pretty much straight through the centre.

More happened in the game than just the goals though and I'm sorry but 2nd half especially Ronaldo slaughtered Lee, it gives me no pleasure to say that as I have no agenda against Lee but it's true.

As for the remarks about Chimbonda at LB on Saturday your the first person I've seen or heard say that Chimbo didn't play well which surely he did.

Really disappointing for the lad Bale as we are in a final and the UEFA Cup at the moment. It also presents Ramos with a problem as to what he should do in the summer to strengthen the squad as he's seen so little of GB.

I understand they are trying to keep him involved with the squad by including him in training for the final. He's playing the part of the Cup.
