Negredo's quotes make it sound like he just wants to come here and party...I'd rather see us get Adrian, who is having a shite season this year but could come good.

Probably get Michu for 12M. There "seems" to be no rumours of interest from any clubs for him. Maybe its because chairman feel that they would be getting mugged as they could have picked him up a few months ago for 2M, but the guy oozes class and is worth it.

Levy to wait until the 31st and offer £6m.

That is the Levy way, plus an agent flying in to London to flog his player shows desperation, Levy will love this.

Just like getting a bagain in an Egyptian market; we give you bargain, Negrado cost is £17m, well we offer £3m, ok special price £10m, err no £3m. Sold for £5m.

Big if, but if he comes here i just hope its AVB that see some potential in him, and not Levy who just see a potential good deal.

Wait what?

Why does everyone think this guy is average, despite consistently scoring a goal every 2 games, and being a lone striker who can pass and play football? Moreover, why does everyone seem to think Damiao would complete us, despite having a pedestrian goalscoring record in the Brazilian League and getting his stats boosted by the state championships?

Has anyone actually seen them play?

I'd take him.

Not for a penny over £10m though.

No, but out of the youtube videos and stats alone I'd say Negredo looks better, although Damiao is a lot younger. Looks however, can be deceiving. Youtube videos can be tailored to however you want them too and doesn't show the other 80 odd minutes of games when they're not scoring or doing a fancy touch/pass.

Wages is, as always, a big question. I'd love to see what Damiao/Llorente/Negredo are all on.

Can't say I know the player that well but from what I've seen I'm not that impressed tbh Adebayor on form is far better.

A striker I would like Spurs to get is Danny Welbeck (never happen mind you) think his alround forward play would suit Spurs.

His wing play seems pretty tasty from that vid (there are a few clips where you can't tell of he's the assistant or the scorer). Still rather have Belhanda as I think he can become world class

I can't say I've seen a lot of Negredo but as Prettycolors said above I can't understand the negativity in this thread about him.

His goals record is very good, and in a team that hasn't exactly been amazing in recent years (and that's just in the league where he's basically a 1 in 2 striker) and he seems to be the sort of target man we'd be looking for. His style of play would suit the Premiership and it appears that he may be available for a reasonable fee (17m being the high point of discussions I suspect).

Would certainly give us some more options compared to what we have now which is an inconsistent Adebayor and Defoe who although on form goal wise, probably doesn't fit the style of play that AVB is looking for.

If you rate Welbeck over Negredo then there is no hope for you

I like both - Welbeck is a real talent can play anywhere up top a modern No.10 in the vain of Ade.

Negredo is 'just' (lol) a good forward - I would take him over Leandro because I know what you get with Negredo

In the last Euro, Del bosque preferred to play with out a striker (Torres played but not for much), even though he could use either Llorente or Negredo - I think it says enough on the player quality. Thumbs down !
