Sevilla aren't doing so well in the league, this story stinks of scaremongering by the press.

But didn't we have reliable ITK last window to say that we couldn't meet his wage demands?

I'd love it but I can't see it happening...:(

"Reliable ITK"........now there's an oxymoron if ever I heard one!!!!

As for the subject matter, I honestly think we could do better for that kind of money. Plus it says they are willing to do a cut price deal "if Spurs are willing to pay up front"......daniel Levy paying that kind of money in one lump some is never, never, never gonna happen.

Seems to be interested in coming to play in the premier league.

Alvaro Negredo has put Arsenal and Tottenham on alert by admitting he feels he’s ready to ply his trade in the Premier League.
The Sevilla striker has previously been targeted by Spurs and Chelsea, but with the Blues having already snapped up Demba Ba, that would seemingly clear the way for the Gunners to enter the fray.
Arsene Wenger is on the lookout for a new forward and Sevilla’s financial situation could see Negredo move for significantly less than his £18million valuation.
And Spanish international Negredo admitted that if he does decide to move abroad, England would be his first choice.
‘The Premier League is a great competition, I really like it and I think my style of football would be well-suited to it,’ he said.
‘There comes a time when a cycle comes to an end and I don’t know whether my time will be sooner or later. I haven’t thought about it a lot but I wouldn’t mind playing abroad.’
A host of Negredo’s international team-mates already earn their living in the Premier League, and the striker admits he’s already enquired about life away from Spain.
‘I’ve spoken to the guys playing in England, mainly when we were together at Euro 2012 because we had a lot of free time,’ Negredo said. ‘I spoke to Mata and Torres and I know they really enjoy it.
‘They have a different way of experiencing football over there compared with Spain. The players say it is easier to go out and about there. Here, it is quite difficult to leave the house but they say there is not as much scrutiny in England, and I like that.’

His agent is claims that he's in London to flog Negredo according to Spanish AS (via Aftonbladet, can't find the original article).

Never rated him, although he seems to make it into the Spanish national squad so obviously has some hidden talent.

He has his moments but never seems to catch fire, if he was brought in I wouldn't see him as the main man. So I would hope we wouldn't do a large chunk of our budget in him

Of any of the strikers out there even remotely available this is one I can see happening. Really not sure about it but I can see the logic. I feel like we were just buying a new Pav to be honest

I would say they are very similar in the fact that they both have the talent but getting it out of them consistently is the issue, we all new Pav had it in him but it was like getting blood out of a stone, I would see the same thing here. Would see it every now and then. We need someone who will score for fun

I bet Levy is loving the fact that del Nido has had to come cap in hand to London desperate to flog his star striker for peanuts to pay off tax problem after all the trash talk post-Ramos!

I thought Llorente fell out with Del Bosque and that is why he's hardly been selected
