Adama or striker...... striker please

The problem I have with this argument is, we will bring in some random striker like Vinicius who either isnt good enough or unsuited to PL or Nuno may not like him.

Unless this striker is on levels of Ollie Watkins or Vlahovic, why bring in some random player to name sake fill the spot ?

I would rather go for Adama, who terrifies most defense. And clearly, he plays far far better with a proper no 9 (refer his 19/20 stats)...

I dont think if we opt for a striker, we will bring someone in who makes the opponent think. If its Traore, pre-game, in-game - opponent manager & players are bound to respect him, his pace and make plans for him. That should in reality give more time & space for likes of Kane & Son.

Its not perfect, but better the devil you know than some random dude

Isn't it shifting it all till next year? In that case I can't see us signing anyone next summer starting at 100 million down, not sure it's a good thing.

No I think what it means is we can then sell our players this summer on loan to buys (Ndombele for example). That way we can shift our deadwood and improve the squad without needing clubs to buy our players this summer, which it's clear nobody is willing to do.

Right and when Kane gets injured again and we have no no.9 for two months, then what?

For that a club that is constantly under pressure, we should be welcoming this signing. Our only press resistant midfielder, Tanguy, doesn't want to play so we need something else to take the pressure off us.

Teams can not afford to leave Adama 1 vs 1 against anyone, it doesn't matter if its Dias, Van Dijk so they will have less one player in our half. If we are going to play counter attacking football and none of our midfielders are known for their passing, we are relying on the pace of our wingers to get the ball up the field, similar to that City goal.

Adama is not going to get brought in to get us goals. He is there to take pressure off us and create space for our clinical players. We have two of the most lethal attackers in the league who are going to welcome not being double marked for once. Wolves left Berg 1vs1 at top and other than one or two chances, were happy to do so. They were also happy to push so high up, you can't do that with Adama.

He may have a season like the season before with better players. He hasn't played with more clinical players at Wolves compared to the likes of Harry and Son. Not like there are many options out there that are willing to come to us anyways. Forget about the stats for this one and think of what he can bring to the team and help the players around him to thrive.

There are players out there. Leicester have Vardy, Inecacho and Daka.

This club seems utterly allergic to signing strikers. If Kane is injured we are back to Son up top like we were three years ago, its lunacy. Son is the only reliable scorer we have apart from Kane.

Would you rather have Kane, Son and Traore as your attacking options or Vardy, Daka and Iheanacho?

Then we are fucked :)

But then, if we start having to play with Ifs & buts, we will never improve. We are a club in transition - If Kane were to stay for 1 season, then I would rather play that season with Traore on his side in same XI than another Vinicius that may or may not make the matchday squad

Kane > Vardy
Son > Iheanacho
Scarlett < Daka

We still have better striking options than Leicester?
