They are though, it’s not like I’ve compared it to the referee being beheaded in South America for making a wrong call in a game, I’ve compared two similar situations and the huge difference in criticism levelled at the perpetrators. The difference in criticism is far bigger than the difference in incidence here.
We're not going to agree on this so I'll call it quits

Fair enough but you’re still making an exception for Rice which is exactly what I was pointing out. We need to have maximum punishment for ANY abuse hurled at a referee and we shouldn’t be attributing levels to that punishment based on when, where or by who the abuse has been committed. Rice would’ve been right in the referee’s face and therefore personal space if he hadn’t been held back by other officials. There are similarities to be drawn from both and yet Rice barely received any backlash or punishment for it and Mourinho needs to be hung?

For the one or two people who actually give a rat’s about him, good to see he has stuck to his guns with Roma rather than jumping ship to the Saudis.

I doubt we’ll see many people turning them down with offers like this.

He knows that would tank his career. Assume he still thinks he's a top manager and one of the big European teams will be in for him at some point. It's not like he needs money either.

If it was PSG, he’d be out of Italy in a second. Saudi is dog shite, even with all the money.

@E17yid must’ve been absolutely fuming when Rice said this:

I would love to know what punishment Rice deserved for this in comparison, seems as it’s literally the same verbal abuse?

Yeah I would say the same thing pretty much. I think it’s slightly worse a manager doing it but still pretty bad.

This also looked like it was in the tunnel straight after the game so again, not good, but not as bad. Ideally Rice would’ve been banned as well

Sarri is Mourinho’s daddy. He get under Mourinho’s skin, finds him amusing and doesn’t get upset by Mourinho’s games.

Think he is referring to next Thursday. Fully expecting his reflection on Spurs to be a bad one...

And after his side’s 2-1 victory over Cremonese, courtesy of late goals from Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala, Mourinho revealed that he is set to be the subject of a Netflix show.

He stated courtesy of Get Football News: “I’ll give you some news, a documentary about me starts on Netflix, it’s a documentary about my career and it starts on Thursday.

He has had a fascinating career. He is an all time great manager and a great character of the game. He is currently a totally unremarkable manager though, and has been since his time at United.
