An interesting table showing our goal scorers over the last few seasons and how players like Dele and Lucas have to contribute this season and get close to double figures if we want to do well (as I’m assuming Harry and sonny will keep firing the goals in). Unless another player steps up we will definitely have to tighten up in defence else I don’t see where the goals will come from.

That two seasons of 35 goals machine from Kane was just absolutely insane. Really hope he can at least better last season tally.

Arsenal play Chelsea next, what we hoping for?

0-0 with a few decent injuries on both sides and a few red cards each. Arteta to quit, saying he can't work with such rubbish. Lampard getting sacked immediately for losing at home to West Ham a few weeks ago. The Haemorrhoids stadium catches fire in the evening and the entire house of shit is burned down (with no loss of life thankfully) but an evil stench being left where the stadium used to be. Abramovitch quits and sells the club to ALDI and Kronke decides the club's never going to be able to win the EPL again as long as Liverpool and City are around, so he sells it to Billy Smart's Circus.

.

Incredible I have never heard of a person or a football manager being judged on his political views . Very odd .

I didn’t see the Chelsea game as a must-win. More of a mustn’t-lose. Turns out that was bollocks too.

I don’t know wtf is wrong with them but losing consecutive home games to Bournemouth and Southampton and West Ham (ok, they beat Villa after West Ham) would be sackable if Lampard didn’t have so much goodwill from the support.

It’s not hard to see us, them and United stumbling towards the line, losing games left, right and centre over the next five months. As JM said, we’re not going to keep winning and they’re not going to keep losing.

I hate to see them go above us, but Wolves thoroughly deserved to beat City tonight. I can’t believe how well they are playing at the moment. Traore is unstoppable and Moutinho is a very tidy player. They are very much in this top 4 race and our win there could prove crucial.

We simply have to do the business against Norwich and Southampton. Chelsea away to Arsenal and then away to Brighton, Wolves away to Liverpool then Watford, Sheffield United away to City and then Liverpool. None of those 3 teams are coming away from their matches with 6 points. And plus, we play Liverpool after Saints and I'm already hiding behind my sofa in preparation for that.

Code:
20. 2019/12/28 17:30 Norwich City - Tottenham Hotspur
20. 2019/12/29 14:00 Arsenal - Chelsea
20. 2019/12/29 16:30 Liverpool - Wolverhampton Wanderers
20. 2019/12/29 18:00 Manchester City - Sheffield United

21. 2020/01/01 12:30 Brighton & Hove Albion - Chelsea
21. 2020/01/01 15:00 Southampton - Tottenham Hotspur
21. 2020/01/01 15:00 Watford - Wolverhampton Wanderers
21. 2020/01/02 20:00 Liverpool - Sheffield United

We will beat Leicester comfortably by end of season. They will get found out over the next 2 weeks.
Wolves IMO are a better threat than Leicester.
We can also catch City if we get a bit more consistent

What an opportunity for us, which usually ends up a big disappointment with Spurs but still. We have 2 winnable games coming up ( Norwich and Southampton ). Chelsea play Arsenal and Brighton away in their next 2 , Leicester play Westham and Newcastle away ( not easy ) and Wolves play Liverpool away. Win our next 2 and we could be comfortably in the top 4 creeping up Leicester’s ass to.

With 19 games to go , with our form drastically improving in last 1.5 months compared to first 3 months...why is it so far fetched & laughable to think we can make up 11 points to 2nd place ???

City focus will be on CL from now on. IMHO We can make ground on Leicester or Chelsea & finish above all 3.

Because it hasn't, it is and we wont. Unless we do, but we wont. Unless we do.

Even after losing because they went down to 10 men, City are still above us in the form table. We're not catching them.

Forget it is City. Can we catch a opponent what is 10 points away ? If answer is yes it's immaterial what their name is.

City & Liverpool gap will only widen here on in. I don't see them having the same vigour (as last season) to catch them. I fully expect them to take their eye of PL to CL.

How can you forget it's City? It's entirely relevant who it is. You may not see them having the same vigour, that's fine. I personally see no way we're overtaking them.

Let's see.
City have lost their main CB for 2-3 more months. Lost their assistant manager. Lost the energy to chase Liverpool now. Talks of Pep leaving end of season...

I can certainly see City dropping points . Only question is if we will capitalise. On this front if Jose gets 1 or 2 in Jan of his liking then I believe we will give it a go.

Of course I understand if you are pessimistic about our chances. But I don't share the same feeling
