Will this win keep Berba at the Lane ?

Well after a fantastic result against Chelsea in the CC Final and after my nerves had time to recover I had to ask myself, will this cup final win convince Berbatov that this is his home and he's better of staying? He looked passionate for the club and it looked like it meant the world to him after he scored that pen. I even saw him clapping the effort of a wayward pass from Steeeed in opening 10 mins Eek

It's glaringly obvious that in his absence, we don't play as well and the link up and play between midfield and attack is lacking. He is a massive player to us and I hope and prey that this win will be enough to make him see that there is a bright future at this club and he'll want to further his time at Tottenham.

I really hope so

I hope so but can't say for certain. If I meet him I'll ask though.

Didn't he say he hoped this was the first of many trophies he wins with Spurs?

Win the Waffa as well, and maybe.

He's still going to want Champions League footy before too long, though. I'd guess he is by some margin the best player not currently in it.

Hopefully Daniel gave him a contract to sign last night after he'd had a few shandies and he pulled the trigger!

God I hope so! To break up that (civil?) partnership with Keane would be a travesty. He so deserves CL footy, I just pray it's us he achieves it with!

We should run his contract down and gamble on getting Champs league football next year. That would sort of off-set the loss.

We need Berbatov.

Levy needs to sign every cheque in his book and hand it to Berba blank so he can just put his own amounts down.

That penalty left me speechless. He's so cool, calm and collected.

Make of this what you will. I'm getting a nice vibe.

"Dimitar Berbatov has given a strong indication he will stay at Tottenham for the long-term after winning his first trophy with the club.

Berbatov, who struck a fine penalty kick to cancel out Didier Drogba's free-kick to take the final into extra time, has been constantly linked with a move away from White Hart Lane.

But the Bulgarian international has set his sights on winning many more trophies with the club and said: "I am here, I want to win things and hopefully this is the first of many for me. It means a lot to beat Chelsea, they are a fantastic team.

"When the final whistle blew it was an indescribable feeling. Everyone was happy and it was great to see so many smiles. It's a major trophy and we wanted European football again.
"This is our moment, but on Tuesday we start again. We have important games ahead of us. We have big goals ahead of us. The manager is a winner and he knows how to win things. This is his first trophy and I hope it's the first of many.""

I think he definitely will. He talks about how good Ramos is and now he has a winner's medal, he has proof of what we can achieve. Winning the UEFA Cup would seal the deal!!!

I think he will stay for another season. If we win the uefa cup even better. We need to be in contention for a top 4 place next season for him to stay, and get that CL qualification.

I think yesterday was a double watershed; I think it was the day Berba decided there is a future at Spurs and I think it was the day Drogba decided there was none at chelsea.
Would anyone put money on us not being successful over the next four years?

Stay Berba Stay!

To be honest, I wouldn't pay too much attention to what Berbatov says now. Throughout his time at Spurs he's said one thing one minute and something else ten minutes later he says the opposite. Mixed signals all the time. He is fond of saying things like "I love the Spurs fans.", "I'd love to things with Spurs." blah, blah, blah, but it's not the same as actually committing to anything.

I hope so, but to be honest Ramos is more important to our long term success than Berbatov.
