Personally i think Chelsea are such a vile club the laws of the game should be suspended when playing them and you should be allowed to foul them, kick them and most definitely pull their hair.

No one is mentioning that it would take a proper yank of hair to make Cucurella fall to the ground like he did. Not condoning Romero’s actions but reckon Cucurella definitely made the most of it

I just get bored of whenever we post any banter anywhere, you’ll get some moron fan making a trophy comment.

Fans need to get their own material…
I swear its just a selection of idiot younger generation types bleating this shit out. I cant fathom for the life of me why a reasonable grown up would say these things. Football didn't start when the Premier League began, it just didn't and we have plenty of trophies if people would just do a bit of research. Their comment would actually make sense had we never won a trophy. Weird.

A footballer, make the most of contact? I don’t believe it for a second ?

Didn't Crouchy do a hair pull too?
Grabbed a defenders dreads so that he could out jump him and if I remember correctly, scored because of it too.

I don't remember anyone doing anything more than laughing and commending his creativity at the time. Certainly don't recall anyone castigating it ...
Actually, he's reviled in Trinidad y Tobago to this day.

I like this thread, and it's nice when you get reasonable, yet different, perspectives on things (read: Spurs). But 90% of it is just fans being fans. More often than not, ridiculously tribal and generally dopey. It'd be silly to think we're any different.

Same with Thierry Henry in Ireland - a glittering career destroyed his standing in Irish eyes.

Anything from Wolves about the game?
I've been on 4 different sites throughout the week and nothing about us really. In all the match threads they're just picking the formations/teams they would play.

One site had a score prediction and only 3 people replied

He just went to pull the shirt, his hair just got in the way!! Pulling of the shirt if just a foul/yellow at most, most of the time  :sneaky:

A clear case of mitigating circumstances. In fact, Cucurella's choice of coiffure directly contributed to the outcome, so he also bears some responsibility. Without his floppy barnet Romero would have been able to grab his shirt easily.

It's like if the tables were turned, we wouldn't be hitting them with exactly the same 'no trophies' thing.

Come on, be honest, of course we would, we'd be all over it like a rash.

I get that it's an old one which probably makes it worse because it's actually true and has been for a very long time. The dislike stems entirely from the truth hurts with a sprinkling of you can give it out but you can't take it. Get something new? Why? They don't need to. It'll go away when we start to win things.

I get that you'll mostly want to put me in the stocks and throw rotten fruit & veg at me for saying it but someone had to do it :D

Regardless of what some of our fans might do, there’s no way that I could behave as moronically as some Arsenal, Chelsea etc fans.

“No trophies”

“We’ve won 17, actually”

“Yeah, but no trophies”

“Sure, we didn’t win one last season but neither did you. And we finished above you, as we have for the past six seasons, thereby qualifying for the Champions League - something you’ve failed to do for six seasons”

“Yeah, but no trophies”

“Do you have an original thought in your head?”

“No trophies”

“Can you think of anything else to say?”

“Yeah….no trophies”

“Fuck off”

It’s the only leverage they have on us. They can’t exactly mock us for anything else. Soon as we win something they won’t have anything anymore.

The problem is that we could win the league this year and they will still say “Yeah we’re on 13 titles, you’ve only won 3. Come back when you’re a bit closer”. The bastards.

My favourite convo blocker with the Goons is mention despite them having a stella 20 years through the 90's and 00's they still haven't won more European trophies than us. Spurs 3 goons 2.

Suck on that, goons (y)

You're considered part of a top six if you finish in the top six every year.
And we've done this for most of the last decade.

it's not related to how many trophies you have won. The clue is in the phrase 'top six'.

it's about the level you play at, being able to compete against the best teams in your league, going head to head with the likes of Bayern, Real, and Barca on a Wednesday night.
