Sometimes you just have to be thankful you dug out a result. Today was one of those times. Fixture slog looked like it had caught up with us last couple of games, plus the buzz and adrenaline of a new manager seems to have worn off. I also think we desperately need our attacking players to get back into good form, get their touch right especially under close quarters plus much more thrust and output from the wingbacks, or games will continue to look unconvincing.

It also seems as if Conte has decided which players he can trust, maybe in some cases what he feels are the "least worst" options, and is sticking with them until he can make changes to the squad. Which means certain players are going to have to dig deep in the next few weeks and keep performing, and in some cases up them. Some crunch games ahead.

People saying “play Ndombele” when the guy has done nothing to warrant a spot in this side. “Make changes earlier etc etc”. When, for fucks sake, will some of you actually blame the fucking bang average shit players we have.

Conte is without a doubt the best manager we have had since Bill Nic. His record is out of this world and has us 2 points behind 4th with 2 games in hand and yet some in here are getting on his back.

I agree with most of what you said, our players are not shit we just need time and a couple of additional quality players.

Most of the team have improved so much in 2 months it’s insane!

Defensively extremely solid just need to work on our crosses and movement in the box.

We need a crafty number 10 to feed Son and Kane. We aren't going to get creativity from cm against deep lying teams so need to address that.

Yeah I don’t disagree to be honest. You know what, the reason they have improved is because of Conte and his back room staff.

A lot of our players are not shit, but they are not great either, they are bland. We are not going anywhere with bland. We need way way more than a couple of additional quality players if we have any hope of winning anything.

Conte takes us to 8 games unbeaten, and if it wasn't for VAR fucking us, we'd be 1 point ahead of Arsenal in 4th with two games in hand. Can't believe there are people here complaining about Conte. Dude knows what he's doing. The players let him down today but we still got the result and that's all that matters. Another clean sheet too. Great stuff.

Some of our fans don't deserve an elite coach the way they go on.

Every poor performance is a disaster and is over analysed.

He doesn't have the squad yet is still producing results.

He can only be truly judged when he has his own options. Which, when he gets them, I'm sure he'll make changes quicker.

By the way, Jose made changes very quickly and used up so many 'final chances' for some of these players it ended up getting him the sack. Not saying Conte is in danger of that, but players need to deserve a chance with Conte

Maybe players are just tired (which is why earlier subs would help). It takes insane amount of effort in training and in matches to go from team that's last in running to the team that's the best. I thought Conte would need a season and half to achieve that.
