Anyone else think some of our starters from yesterday began feeling the after effects of Covid as the game went on ?

It's possible, plus general fatigue, 3 games in a week. Watford had had a long rest prior to West Ham game, IIRC .
Probably a bit rusty in that game, but a bit more up to speed against us.
I don't read too much into performances ATM. It's all about results for me. Be the same at Chelsea and against Arsenal. Even Morecambe Tbh, because while I expect a win, I reckon we will struggle as I expect a B team from us.

I've just finishing isolating...and it wiped the floor of me. I'm physically fit, train 4/5 times a week in the gym, also do plenty of cardio.

But bloody hell Covid can knock you for six. And it lingers...just when you think you're getting back to normal that weak feeling comes back.

I'm sure its having a lingering affect in our squad.

That only tells half the story though, when I see Liverpool attack from the wings they have the box crowded with midfielders and attackers, usually you see 5 or 6 in and around the box, with us yesterday there was often only 2 or 3 to aim at with 11 Watford defenders, we need to have better more attacking minded midfielders and one’s that can shoot, Ndombele and Lo Celso could if they could be arsed, failing that we need upgrades.

I thought Watford's tactics were very similar to Mourinho's last season.
Get the team positioned deep, concede possession and challenge when the ball is played into the box. He would have said post match that 'we had controlled the game'

Was it Efan Ekoku on co comms ? Was absolutely atrocious, as was the ref a right arrogant pr*ck.
