Conte takes us to 8 games unbeaten, and if it wasn't for VAR fucking us, we'd be 1 point ahead of Arsenal in 4th with two games in hand. Can't believe there are people here complaining about Conte. Dude knows what he's doing. The players let him down today but we still got the result and that's all that matters. Another clean sheet too. Great stuff.

I’ll take the three points but I strangely feel like that’s two hours of my life wasted and I’ll never got back. Very jaded performance but I guess they kept going and are coming home with the win.

Perfect game, took all 3 points and massively highlighted the need for improvements in the squad.

I guess the consensus here is that we played really well up until that final pass? I was watching a really dodgy stream but that's what I saw.

Fair play to Sanchez, great goal for him and of course the team.

Have to say this is why I wasn't among the people to dismiss the performance against Saints, even in taking into account the VAR decisions. There were obvious problems then as there were today.

I just hope we get certain players in sooner rather than later.

You can get away with the 2 holding players if the wingbacks are offensive players. Neither offer anything other than an outball and good engines. Neither commit defenders, beat men or get to the byline often enough and both for me are on borrowed time. The delivery today especially from royal was dreadful. Far too often its just aimlessly kicking into the near post and even when he gets more height on it, it lacks the pace and shape yo cause an issue.
Yeah looking at the space and time Emerson had numerous times we need a much better offensive option for these types of games where teams sit back.

That's not to write him off, he is a good defender. Just we need better delivery and more offensive minded players for games like this.

A deserved win in a frustrating game on balance. It was always going to come down to a set piece or a moment of magic to break through a stubborn defense. 3 points, 8 PL games unbeaten. On to the next game.

Sanchez is looking like the real deal now hur? Gil should be given a run in the team. He does provide some creativity to the wings. He just needs more game time.

Huge three points but that was absolute dogshit against a team who shipped 4 at home to West Ham just 4 days ago.

Don't want to see those combinations again vs a low block to a lower table side. Hasn't worked for months.

The next couple of games are Arsenal and Chelsea so probably won't be a huge issue as we'll be playing in transition again but going forward we really need to sort out this creativity problem. A proper RWB and actually playing our technical players would be a start.

Thank fuck for that ?

First time I’ve questioned Conte’s decisions. I’m not sure why he persisted with that formation when it clearly wasn’t working. For me, it gets nothing out of Son. Much rather 3 in the middle and 2 up front. But maybe the problem is we don’t have that creative player to be able to play 3 in the middle? Either way, big 3 points but should have been so much easier.

Way too conservative to play Emerson/Reggie at WB against teams parking the bus. We should consider giving the likes of Lucas and Gil a chance at WB for such games.

Scrapping a 0-1 win against relegation fodder will hopefully only strengthen Conte’s hand in bringing in much needed reinforcements.
Winning by 5 or 6 would have only muddied the waters and given Levy room to over-negotiate without truly understanding the importance of bringing in key signings.

The comments in this thread about Conte are so ridiculously stupid. People are blaming Conte, who by the way has now not lost a game in just first 8. Our players were shit before Conte and they are still shit now.

People saying “play Ndombele” when the guy has done nothing to warrant a spot in this side. “Make changes earlier etc etc”. When, for fucks sake, will some of you actually blame the fucking bang average shit players we have.

Conte is without a doubt the best manager we have had since Bill Nic. His record is out of this world and has us 2 points behind 4th with 2 games in hand and yet some in here are getting on his back.

Get a hold of your heads and give them a wobble you bunch of fuck nuggets.
