I personally don't want him anywhere near our team. He is so one dimensional and his pace makes Huddlestone look like Lennon!

We have no chance in buying him because a) Villa won't sell unless we offer something ridiculous. B) We won't make a silly offer because he is too old and with no sell on value.

.....hes 26/27 at most, hes quiker then you think. And no less one dimensional then Carrick, he can pass the ball well, he can tackle well!!, thats all I want!!

You want him to play DCM, well compared to Carrick as a DCM he isn't good enough to lace Carrick's boots. Carrick is a wolrd class defensive midfielder. Barry is a solid player, but the gulf between him and Carrick as a DCM is HUGE.

If Barry didn't have NRC to do all of his donkey work, he would look even worst.

and going back to Hutton....

i still think we paid too much for him, but thats what we needed to do to let rangers have him, he is exactly what we need and is a good player, he was good for rangers and scotland, but i think him moving to us will just add so much more to his game with playing agaisnt better teams most weeks, instead of every old firm game! still so much more to come from him

I think Hutton has done two good matches (vs Man Utd and Derby), but I still believe that we paid overprice for him. Despite this, I am happy with him, but I still believe that we could have done a better deal in the summer, if we could wait.

Overall - If he can be the man to help us not to concede goals, we are all happy. I think he has been excellent defensivly, but I hope to see him getting better going forward.

Barry is selected because Carrick isn't 1st choice at Man United. If Carrick was still a Spurs player (or playing regularly) Barry and Hargreaves wouldn't have a look in.

There is a reason why Carrick cost £18million - because he is world class (fancy he had 4 years left on his contract?). I think that a bid of £18million would buy Barry, but we would be laughed at as he isn't worth half that IMO.

Dunno? Ask A ManYoo fan? Ask Alex Ferguson? It may have something to do with the way Man United play trying to accomodat Tevez, withRooney and Ronaldo.

All I know is this; start a poll up asking who:

Would you want as a DCM - Carrick or Barry?

Who is the better player - Carrick or Barry?

And Carrick will have more votes.

So far Hutton hasn't seemed better than Chimbonda, but he hasn't seemed worse either. He needs time to adjust to truly be evaluated. Also Chimbonda's attitude has been questioned so if Hutton is an improvement in team chemistry or attitude that's always a perk thats harder to see. Lastly Hutton is still relatively young, so there is no doubt he should improve.

Nooooooooooo! shhhhhh Cicada, MrBoom has been good without his spells we don't need him medling in with that stuff again look what he did to our season start.

On topic, Hutton looking good atm he goes forward a little too much for my liking and was caught mixing into Lennons zone against Derby today which confused Aaron somewhat, otherwise looks promising imo.
