There's no denying we have no won much In the last couple of decades. We sit and laugh at the gooners but in my eyes we are as bad if not worse and I'm devastated again we lose at a hurdle to a team who really are not anything we should of feared.

I would like to know how many possible trophies we may of had though if Lady Luck and deciding to turn up was on our side.

The amount of semi finals since I have been a fan has been endless and quarters , some with horrendous luck!

Newcastle 98-99 handball unspotted , lost in extra time SEMI

Arsenal 00-01 Lost 2-1 could of been 10-1 SEMI

Blackburn league cup final 02 lost 2-1 to a team we were better than but had countless penalty appeals turned down and Friedal played a blinder FINAL

Newcastle fa quarters 05-06 domination penaltys turned down and shay given blinder

Arsenal league cup semi I think 06-07 2-0 up crusing in first leg eventually draw 2-2 go out second leg SEMI

Sevilla 06-07 Quarter , great Sevilla team but we were in control until they got a nothing penalty in the first leg!

Man utd 08-09 Final 0-0 lost on pens, dominated the game didn't seem to ever have the belief we would put the ball in the net!

Portsmouth 09-10 semi , managed to get the "easy" draw in fairness they were an awful side and we lost it somehow !!! 2-0!

Chelsea 11-12 semi GHOST goal, shot off post and line ended up getting spanked no luck at all

Now these are the ones that stick out for me there may be more! That's a couple of finals and semis there we could of won more we get alot of bad luck but also never quite make it over the line!

What others stick out for you ( and not ones we have won)

Im glad you brought this up as I touched on this last night but not in as much detail as yourself.

I don't think its all bad luck I think the club has a self destruct button and a weak mentality running through it as it happens all to often to be anything else.

We all as spurs fans get digs from gooners and Chelsea fans even the odd Liverpool fan as they have still won bits and bobs.

But we have had countless semis some just pure bad luck and some also as you say really just accepting the loss!

Also the Newcastle quarter final was 04-05.

I think the year we went out to donetsk was disappointing, maybe not a quarter or semi but I felt we could have gone all the way.redknapp played a second string team and was concentrating on the league

Semi final of the FA cup 95. I just felt we'd win the whole thing. Wanker amokachi done us over, probably only his good game!

Was at that game, Everton were given three sides of the stadium, we got one side stand, at Elland fucking shitehole Road> Never understood why it was played there!! That game can be filed in the 'just didn't turn up' folder!!

Something in the water at the club it seems. Bottle it time after time.

I'm still a little angry with the complete disgrace that was served up in last seasons FA cup semi-final!

The only one that was a gimme was the Pompey semi under Redknapp. All the rest, we lost to good teams, or had plenty of other good teams to get past had we not gone out.

Also David James absolutely pole-axed Crouch in the area and the ref somehow gave Portsmouth a free kick. James' look to the camera behind the goal was 'how on earth did I get away with that?'

But hey can the club have a weak mentality still? it's an all new management team, the players are either new or mostly come from a background of being winners. Therefore shouldnt have somekind of small mindedness that Spurs players of old who are used to defeat should have

1982 Milk Cup Final vs. Liverpool. Winning 1-0 until 83 mins. Lost 1-3 aet.

That was the game when Souness crippled Tony Galvin early on. Part of the Liverpool game plan no doubt.
