Our central midfielders now until January will be Parker, Modric, Sandro, Livermore, which is a little light especially if injuries and suspensions affect these guys.

We've now lost Jenas, Palacios, Huddlestone and O'Hara who can play there and the only addition has been Parker. Whilst I agree that our squad was bloated, it would appear that we may have cut back a little too far.

Pienaar can cover the JJ role, Parker replaced Palacios and Livermore has replaced Hudd (at the moment). O'Hara didn't feature for us anyway last year so I don't think we're any weaker. We've also got Kranjcar who can do a creative job if he plays alongside a decent defensive player and Carroll who's shown he could do a job if we were really stretched.

Yes we'd be stronger squadwise if Hudd was fit but we're not weak ini that department IMO.

BC must be loving life atm. Both Huddlestone and Dawson are out and this should mean that other players will get their chance.

Has Sandro ever been picked by Harry in front of Huddlestone when they have both been 100%?

Shoudn't have loaned out JJ...

Really:roll:, we have Parker, Modric, Sandro, Livermore and Carroll for two spots, yes two of them are young but they did perform very well with sandro against a strong Stoke team, we have complained for years our kids have never been given a chance and now we have youth team that is very talented,

I'm not suggesting start the two young ones but with a parker and a sandro they should be fine, its also worth noting that livermore was one of the only ones who could come out of the manchester game with any credit

No he hasn't, huddlestone makes our team play better when fit and in the team

So we will have a fresh player in January who won't suffer burn out at the end of the season. Shame as we need him for back up to Parker and Sandro, oh well up steps Livermore, even more important we don't play Sandro and Parker in anything but the league.

How quickly people forget.

Our captain in the 3-1 win against Inter a year ago.

Even though he would be 4th choice you need 4 quality CM's and he's important to us.

In Parker, Modric, Sandro and Hudd we have 4 great and most importantly different players that offer different styles in midfield.

This is a real shame for Thudd as I was convinced this would be a massive season for him, especially with Euro 2012 just round the corner.

I think we'll be alright in the centre with Parker, Sandro, Modric, Livermore and Carroll. Pienaar also can fill that role if required, as can Niko (a bit!)
