She's not cup-tied so, unless it's been written into the contract, yes I think she can.
I doubt that she'll be allowed to play. She didn't in the league so I would be amazed if they would allow her to in a cup final against them. There's no way they're going to let her play and make us stronger.

Despite Clinton being unavailable, I'd still rather face United than Chelsea in the final, so I'm glad they're at home. Literally the dream draw. Let's see if we can get past Leicester first though!! COYS

Stadium is free on the weekend of FA women's semis, so could they play the game there but how would that effect pre booked stadium tours and karting ?
They'd have to move people who've booked for that day to another time. Which, honestly, should not be a huge deal. It's happened before because of bad weather, temporary COVID restrictions, and a screening of the men's Champions League final. They can do it for the biggest match our women's team has ever played.

Any indication as to tickets yet? Want to be right on it.
Won't be any news today at least I think, and could easily be next week. They need to figure out the venue and the date/time first, the latter of which will involve discussions with the BBC since they're showing both SF ties.

I assume we really want to avoid it clashing with the men's game at 12.30 on the Saturday. We can't play at 3pm because of the TV blackout. So looking at either a 5.15 or later Saturday kickoff, or playing the Sunday.

However, one complicating factor is that Man Utd will also want to avoid a clash with their men's team. Right now, they play Bournemouth on the Sunday, so that could work - their women can play the Saturday, ours the Sunday, everyone's happy. Except, if Aston Villa's men beat Ajax, their PL game at Arsenal will have to move to the Sunday, with Man Utd's mens game then moving forward to the Saturday 5.30 slot to swap with it. In which case both of us could want to play on the Sunday, which the BBC might not like.

Basically everything is complicated these days and wouldn't be surprised if they take a while to figure it out, and wait to see the Villa-Ajax result.

If it keeps raining like this until mid April good chance Brisbane Rd will be unplayable, surface didn't look that good the other day , so playing at The Lane best option, Plus O's have a home game on the 9th two games in 4/5 days on their pitch not ideal.

You can't play against parent club in the league. The cups are different unless written into contract. Plenty of times in champs league etc where players have played against their parent clubs

In regard to playing the tie at WHL, I personally would rather it played at Brisbane Rd. The win is the most important thing here & the team are more familiar with the Brisbane pitch and surrounding, it would also be a chance to fill the stadium which would create a incredible atmosphere.
Getting to the final is the priority here, not a showcase at WHL.
If you watch the last 15 seconds think I know where the players would prefer, well at least Bizet for one.

Fair enough. I still can’t see them allowing us to be strengthened by playing her. Of course we both need to get to the final first 😂

Makes sense , some fans still reminisce about old style stadiums but far more will attend at The Lane than would turn up at Brisbane Road and I'm sure if you asked the squad where they want to play the semi the answer would be at The Lane.

*Hoping* they do something sensible with ticket prices. £15 adults for other games at WHL has just been a bit high imo for people who aren't fully committed to jump in. Make it a tenner like the Brisbane Road games, do some family packages, try and get the place as full as possible. That's much more important than optimising the revenue for a one-off game imo. And promise to prioritise people who buy SF tickets for Wembley, if we get there!

Don't know how many women season ticket holders there are but the Wembley allocation is 12,000 per club as the neutral tickets have already sold out for the final . Would assume they will get well over 10,000 for the semi so doubt there will be enough Wembley tickets to go round for everyone.

£15 for adults, £5 for U18s

Wow, Levy *really* wants Seniors paying full whack huh :D tbf I'm still buying, just very hope we can fill it at that pricing, I'm sceptical.

Up from £6.50 adults, £3.50 kids, or £15 family package when they first played Arsenal at WHL after the new stadium opened! Which was far better attended than any women's fixture we've had since with the 130% inflation in pricing.

£15 at the Emirates for Cat A WSL womens games but seniors do get a discount , juniors at £5 for Semi is cheaper than Emirates games so swings and roundabouts .

I don't think you can compare us to Arsenal to be honest. They invested in and promoted women's football for literally decades before we, or anyone else in England, made any effort. They've been playing games at the Emirates since 2011 and support for the women's game has been embedded in the club and fanbase long-term. As well as bringing a generation of Arsenal fans into the women's game, they also picked up a lot of female fans in particular who support Arsenal in women's football even if they have a different men's team, because their own club either didn't really care or didn't have a team at all. And if you were a woman in London who wanted to get into football and didn't have any pre-existing loyalties, Arsenal was just about the only choice. Meanwhile, as recently as 2017, we were a third-tier side with zero investment and virtually zero fans at a bog-standard non-league ground out in Cheshunt. It's going to take a long time to organically grow that kind of fanbase, especially as a lot of the low-hanging fruit has already been picked and won't suddenly switch teams just because we care now. You can't just match Arsenal's pricing without putting in the decades of work they did and expcet to get the same outcome. It *might* be a okay for a cup semi-final, it isn't a sound strategy for run-of-the-mill league games.
