Times are hard for everyone at the moment because of the global pandemic and unfortunately lately our beloved Spurs under Jose are not providing us with much joy as we’d like and there is understandably a lot of negativity and doom and gloom amongst the fanbase, so let’s start a thread to focus on all the positives of supporting our great club!
This can be : why you love supporting Spurs, great memories, famous wins, players or managers who have brought a smile to your face, funny moments, anything positive or good is welcome:
I’ll start with a few:
So stay positive guys & gals, there are always ups and downs with this incredible magical football club but I’d not change it for the world.
COYS!
So over to you guys, anything positive about your time supporting Spurs go...
And this vid of Rafa Van Der Vaart sums up the great feelings and emotions of being a Spurs fan, enjoying those moments of class and those big wins and performances when they do come along. Also can’t smile without you and Final season at WHL (listening to Poch‘s words tear to my eye), what a club!
This can be : why you love supporting Spurs, great memories, famous wins, players or managers who have brought a smile to your face, funny moments, anything positive or good is welcome:
I’ll start with a few:
- I love supporting Spurs because my dad, sister and other close friends and family do and sharing the good times with them has been brilliant
- Our history is beautiful in that we are successful enough to be respected but we are by no means a powerhouse who win title after title and the ups and downs of the ride are what being a fan is all about. Im proud of the club being the first non league team to win the FA cup and the first team to win the double, I love that we were known as this push and run team in the 60’s and we have quotes from Bill Nic, Blanchflower & co which stand the test of time for what should be the clubs DNA and mantra
- I was lucky enough to go to the CL final with my old man and be at the final game at WHL and those memories and trip will stay with me forever
- I loved the first time I saw us beat Chelsea at WHL after 16 years of losing to that mob when that Lennon goal went in, the roar in WHL was like nothing id ever heard, so much relief and joy and the celebrations in the pubs after were epic http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/6119336.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/6094134.stm
- I love that Spurs fans are unique and when you meet others at games or out and about we all share in the rollercoaster of emotions that is being a Tottenham fan
- I loved it when Marin Jol came in and brought a smile to our faces with his legendary Dutch accent, the football he got us playing and his love for the club and fans (“I love Marin jollllll Marin jolll loves me). I loved the journey that Harry Redknapp took us on into the Champions League and the football he got us playing at times was majestic and then a few years later under Poch we had 4 amazing years where I’ve never felt so happy and connected to the club, manager and group of players
- The amazing players we’ve had over the years, I remember being so so excited when we signed Defoe and Keane and the goals they scored, I loved our English core when we had Robinson, Dawson, Carrick, Jenas, Lennon etc, I loved watching Ginola and Sheringham, Berbatov was majestic, Eriksen’s creativity and technique was breathtaking, Bale & Lennon‘s pace was exhilarating, Parker and his 360 turns, Modric was class, Walker & Rose best full backs in the prem, Toby,Jan and Dembele our Belgian trio, Harry Kane being incredible and scoring in so many London Derbies and then my favourite ever Spurs player Van Der Vaart, his class, touch, vision, technique and most of all his passion for Spurs especially when he scored against the Gooners
So stay positive guys & gals, there are always ups and downs with this incredible magical football club but I’d not change it for the world.
