Ainslie's gold is up there with Bolt's simply because Ainslie has successfully defended his title for three Olympic's in a row. Come 2012 he will have been a defending Olympic champion for 12 years, not many people have done that and probably not many more will.

I would be very surprised if Bolt is able to successfully defend both his 100m and 200m golds at 2012.

I just read up on the closing ceremony and what's going to happen when they pass the flag thingemy to our Boris - it sounds mental! :lol:

Apparently a double decker bus is going to drive into the stadium, being chased by some of our cyclists, then the bus will stop and the top will open "like a lotus flower" to reveal three stages, one with Jimmy Page, one with that Lewis girl and the third will be David Beckham and some ten year old girl :lol: no, wait, it get's a bit more mad!

Page and Lewis will belt out "Whole Lotta Love", but not the version we know - she's pointed out that her singing the line "I'm gonna give you every inch of my love" makes no sense, so that's been changed, and they've dropped one of the other versus entirely as it's too rude for the Chinese :lol:

Whilst all this is going on, a dance company from south London, made up of both able bodied and disabled performers, will do a "street dance" routine (but there's only about 15 of them).

At this point, a crowd of athletes in the stadium will have a football kicked at them by David Beckham - no, i have no idea why either :lol: it's not like we'll be entering a team in the 2012 olympics, so (and please, excuse my poor english), wtf?

Honestly, the whole thing sounds like it was dreamt up by an alcoholic after a cracking night on the town but sounds intriguing :up:
