Definitely. Poch ain't someone who runs off to the media without saying it to the person's face first.

I think he's basically had enough of missing out on the primary targets because levy won't budge on agent fees or whatever. It's a wake up call as much as an ultimatum, big clubs don't baulk at fees for their main targets they move mountains to get em. You say we will be one of the world's biggest then start behaving like it where it truly counts.

Totally agree...this is a great PR exercise...Poch seen to demand the finances to have a team that matches the ground (world class)....the footballing world holds its breath....massive summer signings and Levy comes out of this smelling of roses and the previous transfer window disasters are forgotten. Poch would never make such a bold statement unless everything had already been sanctioned. The question now is who will be leaving and arriving ?

Levy needs to sack up and spend the money. On both fees and wages. He cant say "Oh he wants too much a week" or "They want too much to sell." Poch bringing up Liverpool is exactly what he's asking for here if we're going to keep him. Meaning Daniel's going to have to break the transfer record a few times this summer.

Doesn't it seem impossible we would spend even over 30 mil twice?

Don’t think we can and comparing us to big clubs who are propped up by billionaires or the GDP of an oil producing nation is probably not real either.

It’s worrying as I don’t blame Levy entirely but I’m not sure we have the cash as you say to start dropping £30m multiple times in the summer.

We need a proper ball playing midfield player to replace dembele, a top class Eriksen replacement (assuming he’s off) and a top class RB.

Just the Dembele and Eriksen replacements are going to be between £50m-£70m each you’d imagine and another £30m-£40m for a good RB. I just can’t see us laying out that much but then we should get a good fee for Eriksen so it’s doable but forget spending £30m multiple times as that gets you fuck all these days. I think we’ll need a couple of £60m plus outlays and that’s what I find hard to believe. Balls in shineheads court I guess.

For me it is a chapter that needs to be closed. Next season we need to build, or be ready for a new project, a new chapter – two years, three years, four years, depends on Daniel, who is going to decide. I am happy and proud to finish a chapter this season, competing the way we compete, helping the club, the fans, the players to be better. It is another thing to talk and sit here again talking about where the club needs to be in the next level,

Only I am talking about I am so honest and important for the club to close this chapter and start a new project. A new project means to maybe to talk in a different way, to operate in a different way. It was so useful the way that everyone helped the club achieve what we wanted to achieve, being very competitive and aggressive in the way we play. We understand very well what he club needs from us but when you settle here in this fantastic stadium, to be here to fight and not only in some period in your history to be in the Champions League like in the past. It's a stadium to be in every season of the Champions League, every season being a real contender and fighting for big things. It is my idea and we we will see if we can deliver it....

Time to get the wallet out, basically.

I think we all know deep down how this will end

Great to hear Levy actually saying it.

Goes against what so many on here claim to know about him.

Tbf ITKs such as JJ have always said Poch and Levy were singing from the same hymn sheet so i've got no doubt that our inactivity in the last 2 windows have been solely down to Levy.

I also think all signs point to us actually being really active this summer.

The most important thing of all regardless of the money is to identify the players Pochettino what’s and getting them in. We also hope to find diamonds ie the next Dele Ali and importantly in keeping with our vision to promote development players ... is why I’m praying Pochettino gets Onomah Edwards Walker-Peters Amos Skipp in the squad.
