I thought they moved him forward at Fulham because he was constantly getting caught out of position. I wouldn't play him as a FB but wouldn't mind if it's LWB
Well I hope we haven't bought Sess as a wing forward. His technique on the ball is not good enough to be an attack. Yes he's young and fast, but that doesn't make a good winger.

Really hope the club move forward ASAP. Can't help but think that this crap is going to drag on and on and I'm sick of it already.

I started the season envious of season ticket holders, now I'm absalutely gutted for them.

They're the ones paying the big bucks to watch a team that can't be arsed to put the effort in, play for each other or play for the manager, who in turn is so stubborn to persist with formations and tactics that don't work.

The whole situation is piss poor. Just feel sorry for people who have saved up and spent £1000's on tickets.

Peps Man City has lost away to Norwich and at home to Wolves is he losing the dressing room?

We shouldn't panic we all know what needs to be done. Poch needs a little time to get certain players OUT certain players fit and up to speed and certain arrivals to begin the new.

this is tiresome as shit, im not poch out. but you cant use 2 losses with 2 points from 30 available in the same breath, even if tongue in cheek comments! its boring.

It shows you how quickly things can turn around in football. I wasn’t one of those wetting my pants over our summer business thinking we could challenge near the top. I was quietly confident of top four, but thought it would be a battle.

However, I certainly did not expect the wheels to come off so dramatically. To think a year ago I was worried every time Madrid lost as I feared their manager would get sacked and they’d come calling for Poch, and now I find myself thinking that might actually be the best thing for our situation.

That’s football I suppose.
Yes I agree football can turn so quickly but although I was reasonably happy with the incomings I never expected a title challenge in fact under the current set up I'm resigned to that not happening.
But I thought that utd, Chelsea and arsenal might not be too clever and so thought quite legitimately that top four was as good as ours, I didn't bank on going into free fall although supporting the club for as long as I have I should of expected it so probably my own fault. :joyful:

Agree. Also it is really boring comparing poch to pep and klopp who have high budgets.

And guess what I read on SC somewhere that poch inherited the best tottenham squad and achieved nothing. Its mind boggling that someone in their biased speak such nonsense.

Crazy how some fans will sacrifice the wellbeing of the club for a guy who hasn’t won any trophies and has flirted with other clubs on a regular basis. And has shat the bed in every big cup game we’ve had. Not to mention the lack of tactical nous and next to no in-game management. People putting the freak CL run down to Poch are deluded also, I think VAR, a Moura hat-trick and a Harry Kane half time team talk had more to do with it. Wake up and smell the coffee guys. Spolier: the coffee smells like the morning after a madras washed down with 10 pints of Carling, whatever floats your boat I guess.

Mate, go back to working on Cg
My feelings on our current squad & the massive shake up needed, I just can’t see Poch getting the full support from upstairs to completely overhaul our squad that’s clearly come/coming to the end of its road .......

Lloris - French David James
Gazziniga - Decent No 2
Aurier - Not good enough (Headcase)
Toby - Passed his best & leaving
Vertonghen - On the decline, 1 more year at best
Sanchez - Colombian Chiriches, however Potential
Foyth - Potential
Davies - Not good enough
KWP - Not good enough
Rose - Passed his best & probably leaving
Sessegnon - Potential
Dier - Squad player
Winks - Quality
Sissoko - Good but really a squad player
N’Dombele - Potential
Wanyama - Finished & leaving
Skipp - Potential
Dele - Good
GLC - Unproven
Eriksen - Leaving
Son - Quality
Lamela - Squad player but not good enough
Moura - Good
Kane - Class
Parrott - Potential

So basically we need a new RB, another CB, another CM, an attacking AMF going forward, possibly another ST, to add real quality we’ll need to spend at least another £150/200 million minimum !!!

I just can’t see DL parting with that kind of money, my fear is we could end up selling HK for circa £150+ million & reinvesting that way, similar to Countinho at Liverpool, & Bale years back, hope I’m wrong but knowing how Levy works that’s the most likeliest outcome .......

I have this image of you propping up a bar realing that list off ?

Shit. Potential. Class, mate. Shit. Potential.

Etc

I was planning on getting over to a game before Xmas - fuck that now. Spending hundreds to watch the crap we're serving up at the moment lol. I know plenty others feeling the same way.

At the end of the day our football has been so poor for months.

Once I see the effort back I'll get myself over.

I agree with him but the thing his analysis overlooks is continuing to play players who arnt fully committed.

He even said it himself, when you go one nil down you mightn't have the desire to get back into the game when you're thinking about your future etc

If we're backing Poch to rebuild he must take that group of players out of the side. If they were performing to their true level it would be a different story but they're not.

Id love to see us go 4-3-3.

I agree with your point to an extent. But which players are you talking about? Is it only Eriksen and Toby? Or do you include others. Toby has played every game (except Colchester) and has he really been that bad compared to others? Rose likewise. Vertonghen was left out at the beginning and we were screaming for him to come back, while criticising Sanchez and KWP.

This is not a dig at you but probably more a question of who we sideline and whether we collectively have the balls to stick with the likes of Gazza, KWP, Tanganga (sp?), Sanchez, Sess/Davies as a back five if - as I understand it - Toby/Jan/Rose want out/lost motivation, Lloris injured and frail, Aurier not good enough.

Further forward in our midfield I am happy to see the exclusion of Eriksen, but that's also in my view the least of our troubles since we have a lot who cab contribute offensively (Lucas, Lamela, GLC, Ndom). But our troubles seem to be in the heart of midfield where Poch seemingly can't find the right combo of Winks/Sissoko/Ndom/Dier to protect the defence and allow more freedom to the attack minded players..... And are any of that lot the ones who want to leave?

Incidentally I think the line up you listed up there was pretty much our line up in the first game of the season except for Son who was suspended.
Edit; almost, though Lucas for Son, and Toby for Jan was the difference.

Poch needs to put a lid on all the speculation about his own future
He's done that time and again, and it's never popular with the media. When he didn't used to deny every rumour put out, media critics would say 'Look, he's thinking of leaving'. When he did deny such rumours especially when other clubs' managerial crises were used to try to acquire him, he'd clearly deny any interest in other jobs and express determination to continue building with Tottenham, but the media would a) downplay it and b) say 'Ah yes, but I bet he doesn't mean it'. They continue to chip away.

Talking about celebrating a Utd winner in Madrid for instance. Look at the way Klopp responds to such suggestions, clear he isn't going anywhere.
Twenty years ago at the 1999 European cup final when just two clubs were playing each other, and he and a couple of young football playing mates situated themselves here and there in the stadium, and all admired a goal that someone had just scored. Scorers for Manchester United that night were, IIRC, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Teddy Sheringham. I imagine footballers then as now admire goals scored every weekend by other players at other clubs. So what?

Not to dampen your argument, but I'm pretty sure Poch has spent more than Klopp based on the numbers I've seen.

Klopp has bought just under £400m worth vs Poch's £320 ish, but Poch is net at around £90m vs Klopp's £60m.

Thats before Lo Celso's potential fee too, I think.

So Klopp has spent more money on players in his shorter term as manager there. Got you.

I really want you to be correct, but in all honesty I cannot see the quality that you can in Winks. He is ok, but seems to me that he is a central midfielder in a team that doesn't play with them. He isn't defensively good enough or attacking enough.

Having said that, I didn't rate Carrick so I know that midfield is a bit of a blind spot for me.

fair enough mate - I am optimistic on him and as you say, would be good for us all if I am right so let's hope!
