Indeed. He's a good young player but I doubt he will make much of a difference regarding our defensive fragility.

I thought they moved him forward at Fulham because he was constantly getting caught out of position. I wouldn't play him as a FB but wouldn't mind if it's LWB

If he's been bought to play fullback. I have my doubts tbh.
If you’re on about sessegnon, I saw that when poch was mentioning defenders in one of his press conferences he mentioned sessegnon which I thought was interesting

This is an example of how the tide turns with result bias.

We've heard about Poch doing this for a while. He's been here five years. This is not something new. Most young managers have training sessions filmed so they can all go over it after.
the full quote says he doesn't actually go out to training sessions anymore and prefers to watch them indoors

I do think we should get behind Poch, but he has to start making those tough decisions now.

No more picking sides that coast through games. Thats not sustainable.

I think we're at a point its just down to Poch, he's either going to have become less stubborn or he'll end up being his own worst enemy and will pay the price.

Indeed it's nothing new, I don't know what the players are expecting seeing as he's always had cameras and GPS trackers fitted to the players

Just smacks of players being spoilt.

[@TheAthletic] | The Argentine has become increasingly detached from his players at the start of this campaign and often stays inside to monitor training remotely, hence his new nickname by some of the Tottenham Hotspur squad.

I just don’t buy the argument that the poor players are fed up with an unfair ‘regime’.
They were flying up to January/February time and it’s fallen off a cliff. It cannot be that they’re all of a sudden fed up with him.
This reaks of players passing the buck.

I was there Saturday & that was nothing to do with not liking training, they’re not exhausted they just did not give anywhere near 100%.

I’m sure there is blame on both sides & I’m not saying Poch is perfect, he’s struggling at the moment but there is definitely some poison being leaked from the dressing room and it really fucks me off.
Saturday was shocking. I’ve seen us play badly before but given the talent in our squad & what they’ve achieved over the past few years, that ‘performance’ from 1-11 was as bad as I’ve ever seen. And my first game was 1983.

There's such a thing as being mentally exhausted, though.

Imagine busting a gut every training session for a few seasons, and then when you keep getting to the penultimate step, the manager either drops you (e.g. Lucas), or starts telling the media that the team isn't good enough to win things, and if they do you'll go, but you're probably off anyway etc.

It's the demoralisation that's done it imo.

I think we're gonna have to get used to the idea that Levy isn't going to sack Poch anytime soon and I'm fine with that if he's picking players who help him and will put in a shift for him. The way I see it is the players who are downing tools won't be here next season anyway so there's little point in backing the players if they're not here long term, not only that he's going to have to Poch around £25m and more for his staff, add that to the fact that getting a new manager in isn't going to be cheap AND having dip into the transfer market in the summer I can't see Levy willing to fork out all that money.

Lose 25m on paying poch off or lose potentially more by bombing out of this year's CL at the group stage and maybe failing to qualify for next year's CL which is likely considering how shit we are right now.
Tough decisions for Mr levy to consider and the possibility of attendance figures falling whilst we pay top prices for this rubbish, it does make you wonder at what point is enough especially when we go to Anfield and Liverpool increase their goal difference can't wait ;)

Fail to beat Watford and it’s possible Anfield could be his last game after they inevitably thrash us.

Sad state of affairs considering we were all looking forward to this season as there were no excuses of world cups etc and then we end up with this.

3 or 4 more defeats in the next month and I think he might actually resign, or it'll be one of those by mutual agreement numbers where he and his team get a partial pay-off.

I don't care if we lose giving the kids a chance, and Moura deserves a look in too.

We are in a sad, sad state now. Everyones sticking the knife in. The players are singing to the press as sources, the club is radio silent, Poch has bolted out of England. I wish these players would put their names on this garbage so we know who should be booed out of the stadium next home game for the shit they are dragging us through. Managers never come back from this unless they fully drop the mutineers. I think if Poch was going to do that, he’d have done so last year when it started. So now Poch probably does have to go.

If anyone thinks it’ll immediately be better, they have lost their minds. We still have a host of players with no future at the club, many of whom are on the last years of their contracts. They will not suddenly start trying. They have no motivation to try for a club they will lame ducks at starting January when pre contracts will likely be signed.

These players have really lost me. I neber thought I would celebrate the day I’d see the backs of Toby, Eriksen(until January 2019 when I first became fucking tired of him) or even Jan who i’ve adored. But that’s where I am right now. So angry at the players. So angry at Levy for clinging on to them for 2 years. So angry at Poch for not doing what he should have and dropped them. It’s like last summer not getting a few wantaways out and getting no one in changed him. Something has to give. Sadly its always the manager but i wish it was the chairman and the players. Oh well, I love Poch but clearly he’ll be made scapegoat. Onwards and upwards. COYS.
Apart from that - everything's ok?

It shows you how quickly things can turn around in football. I wasn’t one of those wetting my pants over our summer business thinking we could challenge near the top. I was quietly confident of top four, but thought it would be a battle.

However, I certainly did not expect the wheels to come off so dramatically. To think a year ago I was worried every time Madrid lost as I feared their manager would get sacked and they’d come calling for Poch, and now I find myself thinking that might actually be the best thing for our situation.

That’s football I suppose.
