Just getting to work here in the States so catching up on everything.

I have to say, I agree with the sentiment that I'd rather sign nobody than to sign someone substandard.

Winter window always has its share of teams trying to fleece others because they can smell desperation in the air.

People wanting us to jump at crap players reminds me of the old comedy routine (i think it was Gallagher) talking about how "women can save you money by buying shit."

You get home, there's a player you didn't really want. Yeah, it fills a spot, but now its taking up space that a better player could fill later.

And why do you have it? Because Levy found it "on sale."

I'd rather take the money that would be spent on buying a substandard backup striker and put it towards a bigger, better signing in the summer.

If we sign someone, great. If we don't, it would be disappointing, sure. But I think I'd be more annoyed if we signed someone who can't slot right in. Its not like we have the pre-season to get them settled.

Am i missing something about the Dybala situation? From what I remember, we busted our asses trying to get that done and it fell apart because of stupid legalities over licensing issues.
