I was thinking a German team too for Siggi.
I assume you don't know the team in for him then? If bid rejected it could mean 2 things - the bid not high enough or we don't wish to sell. I think Rodgers, AVB and Tim really rate him, he must be doing stuff in training to warrant quite constant selection in the face of underperformance. Brilliant for Swansea and we've only seen glimpses of inspiration from him. If he doesn't start performing soon though then surely he must go.Jay (ryantegan) @ryantegan5m
@Spursidol foreign team and less that what we paid for him. Don't know the exact figures though
So did Dempsey but I don't recall anyone yearning for him.Im glad we rejected the Sigurdsson bid. Hes great to have in the squad and pops up with goals the odd time. I hope he wants to stay and fight for his place.
Some nice things here and there from Sig but hasn't been anywhere near consistent enough. Loved his through ball for Bale in the NLD last season for example.
But he just drifts out of games too often for my liking. I honestly thought he would of scored a hell of a lot more goals for us by now. Has it really happened for him.
Happy enough to keep him as a squad option and he's bound to play in the Europa League but if we received a nice offer for him its bound to tempt us.
The Goat hears that the club have had talks with a young striker playing in Holland. No other details were given but said he was young (under 21) and that it would be as a squad player not a major signing.

Damn, that is bizarre as hellSo, I hope this is okay to bring up, but we previously had this ITK from The Goat:
And today, this "Transfer Scam" article came out (Linked at the bottom of this post). The transfer scam involved Luc Castaignos and it appears that we were somewhat interested but ultimately suspicious. Castaignos fit the bill and was one of the strikers many mentioned as a potential fit (U21, plays in the Eredivisie for FC Twente). Now, I couldn't recall if we later had confirmation on the striker target as I know Piotr Parzyszek was a popular name thrown around. But, if this was who The Goat was alluding to, I think it definitely shows that source who provided the information had some reliability given how the pieces fall together despite it being a transfer scam.
If it was later confirmed as a different striker and not Castaignos, I apologize. Still, it's really interesting shit.
Anyway, here's the article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...Castaignos-reported-by-Tottenham-Hotspur.html
If someone offered less than what we bid for Siggy, I wouldnt have accepted it either. He's like 23 or 24. Cant accept anything less than breaking even.
Now that's an interesting conundrum on the level of "if a tree falls in the wood"
Love the TS quote about vlad being pissed, "he was unsteady on his feet, it's windy over there"
Brilliant
Also the fact he's a homegrown where we're running far closer to the quota than we have before. Hope whoever it is pays up though, as I don't see him working for us while he could be a great contributor in the Bundesliga.
Everyone wanted us to play 451 or 433 yet don't think ade, soldado, kane, coulthirst are enough for 3 months?

Spurs have reported attempts to sell them a player involving a rogue mandate and a forged siganture.
